Yogurt is from Bulgaria, not from Turkey, not from Greece. Greece yogurt is only good reklam and presentation 🙂 Technology of the turkish yogurt is from Bulgaria when Osman Empire was in Bulgaria 500 years. Microorganism for yogurt is named Lactobacillus Bulgaricus. Why? 🙂 Lactobacillus Bulgaricus is only in Bulgaria and in Bulgarian territory in Turkey and Greece today. Bulgarian Empire of khan Asparouh is bring from Asia in 5th of century. Turkey and Greece bying bacterias from Bulgaria but present yogurt like Turkish and Greek. It’s funny 🙂 It’s the same with Bulgarian brain cheese and kashkaval.

  8. Megi Peeva says: August 8th, 2022 at 8:21 am

Actually, the video is right. Yogurt may be a Turkish word but Turkish tribes were not the only ones to know about it and use it. The Thracian people also did, as well as others. So stop fighting over stupid things, and especially stop saying that Bulgarians (or Greeks) only learned about fermented milk products from Turkish tribes, it’s simply ridiculous. Calm down and read some history.

  17. baris yeni says: August 8th, 2022 at 8:32 am

Inaccurate information about the date of the yoğurt. The main home of yoghurt is Central Asia, and there is strong evidence that it is found by the Turks. The root of the word proves it. And it was discovered thousands of years ago. One of the comments below is about someone from 1905. My God, how ignorant people are. Unbelievable.

Oh my god you are confused lady, those things you show on the shelves are not really yogurt but some kind of puddings, it is amazing how any idiot can upload a video on youtube and act like an expert, you want real yogurt you go to TURKEY, end of story!!!!! Also, kefir was created in the caucuses
And way different than the so called kefir on the shelves of your supermarkets it is alive and you raise it yourself at home you have to tend to it very carefully and gently..

you are stupid, make a research then create a video. yogurt was founded by early nomadic turks in central asia…

  34. There is no speculations about its origin. As the word itself it is TURKISH /TURKIC. The Greek refugees from the Ottoman Turkey introduced yogurt to America and thus the world. That’s why “Greek” stuck with it. However it’s purely Turkish. The wish you have checked our cousin before making a video about yoğurt. Thank you

  35. Turkish found it the yogurt not greek people !!!!!! search the history please also not indian…… all greek stole us from baklava yoghurt all turkish food and indian stole our spices …..we found it first … turks are very clever people .

Yogurt actually started in Turkey, and it wasn’t made by simply leaving milk out in the sun and by saying that you could be putting people in danger.

As the old saying goes, What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. It makes sense that a nomadic people would eat yogurt, but to say they own it, is foolish. There is nothing new, about the way anybody eats sleeps, walks or talks, it"s all been done before, you, even thought of it.

  49. Yogurt belongs to turkey and south korea! two brother countries found yogurt!! korea and turkey😌
