i’m not sure how nutritional it is, but eat mostly fruits and veges. i rarely eat anything anymore other then fruits, veges, dairy, and chicken. i eat six times a day and still have trouble getting above 2,000 calories. i was eating over 1,600 calories a meal, four times a day or more. biggest change was switching out flour based products for fruits and veges. i was constantly hungry for the first week. never horribly so. i did get mindlessly ravenous when it was meal time though. i finally upped my plant based intake and now i barely even notice being hungry. until its time to eat. then it is just a normal level of "time to eat" hunger
i did something similar a decade ago and lost 100lbs. wasn’t really tracking anything. just switched out the flour based stuff i’m used to for a pound of veges at every meal. with a lot of cheese and chicken. i was also walking about 20 minutes a day. stopped eating that way. then eventually stopped walking. ended up gaining it all back.
i understand a lot better now why what i was doing was working. i’ve also learned a lot more. i think i have a lot better chance now of maintaining this lifestyle. the only issue is there is so much conflicting information on the net. i’m tracking everything. monitoring my nutrients as much as possible. exercising to prevent muscle loss, along with eating plenty of protein
Accept that the first for weeks are going to suck. Take time to really experience the hunger mindfully and learn to understand it’s not actually going to kill you. This was a game changer for me.
For some reason spicy food makes me feel more satiated. So I eat more spicy food; hot sauce on everything savoury.
Just a little tip that works for me :/
Including beans and veggies in your lunch will change your life. I can fast easily if I have a lunch filled with beans, brown rice, and any vegetable like Brussels sprouts in comparison to a bagel and cream cheese or something like that. Even a regular sandwich- eating clean has a lot of benefits
Also, never EVER drink your calories because itβs such a waste. And cut out sugar. Natural sweeteners like stevia/monk fruit are your new bffs.
