I’d be really interested in anyones thoughts on home made clotted cream. I use organic meadows whipping cream which I cook very slowly at low heat for 12 hours refrigerate 8 hours then spoon off the cream. I am not using the remaining liquid.

I would like you to do a video that in detail, shows the differences between cows milk, goat’s milk, sheep’s milk and their related products as to how safe they are to consume and within that group, how organic varieties could make a difference. I don’t seem to notice a problem with dairy products, but my wife does, and I think we’ve discovered that the problem is not the lactose.

  7. Where is Kiefer?! It should be 1 or 2

Cheese pleas and I was wondering about cream cheese

  13. Stop telling the lie that dairy is addictive. It’s not, so please stop spreading that lie.

Also stop using the word "Spike." It is very misleading, and scares people. It paints a false picture of what is really happening in the body.

You then list Whey protein isolate as the second best dair food to eat? Get real. It does spike insulin and will REDUCE keton production, and can even kick you out of keto. Yes, it kicks me out of keto. So NO Whey protein is not a good dairy while on Keto.

And your stance on cottage cheese is just scientifically unjustifiable.

Honest question, can I use whey protein isolate as a replacement for milk?
So if I want cereal I could just mix whey protein isolate with water and add the cereal.

  20. Jeanette Knipp says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:18 am

  21. anime freek82 says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:21 am

What about milk protein isolate is that good on keto

  22. RichardofOz says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:22 am

    Thomas,
You missed an opportunity here to sound the alarm for people who drink low fat milk in the mistaken belief that it’s healthier. You should have differentiated the different types of milk and put low fat milk at the ABSOLUTE BOTTOM of dairy foods.
People already familiar with keto diets would presumably understand this, but many people new to this would not.

I’m Bulgarian and we really can’t do without yoghurt – it’s such a staple food and it’s so great.

  24. Making butter from cream is something even parent should teach their children. If you haven’t you could learn something.
    Butter isn’t refined cream!

  25. suzanne thomas says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:25 am

  26. Brian Marshall says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:30 am

You left off one of the most beneficialones, – kefir!

  27. Bennett Rogers says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:31 am

Cheese please. Cream cheese needs to be on that list.

  28. The heavy cream I buy says 0 grams of protein. The only ingredients are heavy cream and gellan gum. Can I assume it has very little milk protein in it?

  29. Stanislav Schaefer says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:35 am

😡Why is kefir not on the list? Kefir is literally 100x better and healthier than any greek yogurt and it also contains good bacteria for your gut. Drink Kefir that is made from grass fed milk, the fermentation kills the lactose in the milk.

  30. R Dahlstrom says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:35 am

  44. Hi Thomas – long term subscriber here. Big fan. Hoping you can do a video on how to choose a better Heavy Cream. I have found it really hard to find a brand in the So Cal market area that does not have some harmful additives and still acts like cream in coffee. I use it to put off my first meal of the day till much later by adding it to my coffee. Is there an alternative? I need to take some things like amino acids in the am on an empty stomach, and get by with the coffee/cream. But – WOW, what are all these additives to heavy cream??? P80 is the worst!!!

  45. cristy asido says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:55 am

  47. So… Of all of those, Milk is the only one I would like to just drink. Either as my base to mix a protein drink, or to make chocolate milk treat. So is there a reasonable alternative milk, not coconut or almond or soy milk, that isn’t as bad?

  48. Roberto Beruffi says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:56 am

You didn’t talk about Kefir. What about Kefir? Where would you put it on the list?

  49. Cheryl Williams says: July 27th, 2022 at 3:58 am

    yes please, cheese video!

  50. I eat sour cream almost every day because it’s a low carb AND calorie (compared to ranch, mayo, and especially oil/vinegar dressings that are like 100 calories per tablespoon and I don’t know anyone who uses less than 3 MEASURED tbs’s of dressing on a salad and that’s 300 calories I don’t need lol. So I use Walden Farms Honey Dijon Mustard dressing with sour cream and it’s SO GOOD!!!
