With food being so expensive and is slowly becoming hard to buy food, I eat what ever I can afford and can buy. I did Keto and lost 40 lbs. so it was great but that was back when food was affordable. Now, buying the kinds of foods you mention would take a big wallet!!

I don’t understand how there was no mention of one vegetable I heard meat meat meat butter fish water coffee OK where is the vegetables I can’t I cannot do this without vegetables I hate meet
I was looking at diet ice cream and I saw some "Keto" Ice Cream and it was very high in saturated fat. I didn’t buy it or any diet ice cream for that matter, but I started looking at other keto snacks and they tended to be high in sodium and/or saturated fat. Red meat is high in saturated fat too. I realize there”s a daily allowance for saturated fat but I’m personally trying to limit my saturated fat intake so it seems like there aren’t many keto foods I can buy.
Wrong……total carbs not net. If go net you can ingest sugar, questionable natural flavors, and vegetable starches and many more. If you are dirty keto….go for it, but many of us have reactions to the above ingredients. Just be careful and do your research.
this is disheartening. i see the zero carbs disclaimer, but an assortment of meats which i don’t eat except for fish, some oils, and some alcohol, (i don’t drink), i see no hope at all staying on this.
I have less than 100cm of digestive tract. Was on a Mediterranean diet. Was given new nurse practitioner. She wants me on keto. Tried for 2 weeks. Lost 21 pounds without trying. I’m 5ft 11 and weigh 105 pounds now. Started passing blood. Is this normal? Can’t tolerate 70 percent of what’s on the keto list. Any recommendations would be great. I am afraid this isn’t safe.
100 days today on one meal a day at 5pm. No carbs, no sugar, nothing from a can or processed, only fresh vegetables or salad with salmon, tuna or barramundi, eggs in my salad. I have been eating a plum (as low in sugar) or blueberries after my meal with yogurt. One coffee every morning. I started at 98 kilo and down to 84 kilo, a little disappointed I haven’t lost more, but I do feel and look much healthier.
I disagree about snacks. Humans do not need snacks. Years past, people only ate 3 meals a day and obesity was not common. Today, eating 5 or 6 times a day is considered normal, and so is obesity by the way. Keto combined with intermittent fasting is the best method to get healthy and lose weight.

Some keto foods are unhealthy. Use common sense
Was really hoping for more non meat products to be listed as lower carb foods we all know protein is a go to but man can’t live off meat alone
Just stick to meat and low glycemic vegetables.
I must have missed it what veggies or fruit can we eat you cant live on just meat and sugar substitutes

I did a dirty keto went from 285 to 150 in 16 months. It took 6 months for it to kick in but once it did the weight just fell off.

Excess protein is converted to sugars (carbs) in the body. Can anyone explain how this is not a problem on the keto diet?

We are programmed to eat 3 meals a day.. Don’t .. Intermittent fasting and OMAD will help.
Is it possible to do Keto without meat and massive animal fats?
