Thanks for video- olives def a fruit they also quite high in calories though(healthy fats yes same like avocado) but still have to watch how intake unlike cucumber for example
I only like five of the sixteen vegetables. I was diagnosed by my dentist as a super-taster. Super-tasters have more taste buds than normal and therefore can taste extreme bitterness in vegetables that the average person cannot taste. Now it all makes sense not liking many foods while I was growing up.
Cucumber is not boring! Sliced thin with onions, dill, vinegar, salt & pepper. I also dice it with onions, tomatoes, olive, feta cheese, avocado oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and oregano. I’ve also discovered baby cucumbers which are so tasty and make a great snack straight up!
I have yellow, green, red, and brown bell peppers, and while they all start green, they do not stay that way, (except) the green ones. They stay green, they do not change to yellow, orange, red, purple, brown, etc. They are different plants.
Thank you Dan. I am new to your channel. That was so informative, especially as I follow a vegetarian diet. One thing though, can I eat as much fruit as I like, or are they loaded with a lot of calories? Best wishes for your channel. Jo xx
I’m down 30 pounds in 4 mos. after being diagnosed as diabetic, with numbers off the charts. I refused Metformin and went keto @ 20 carbs a day. My numbers dropped dramatically, and I’m staying with keto. My doctor is in shock at my improvement. Thanks for your great ideas …. I’m a meat/fish and green veggies fanatic now.
Dr. MAGGS… firstly I want to apologize in advance for putting this on a public forum. Secondly, I do like your YouTube channel as I have subscribed and have received email information on your Guide. But the only thing I’m asking is to cut down on some of the silliness. I’m not being derogatory because you are a medical doctor with good info. There are a few other people that speak on the same topic and they are Dr. Steve Ekberg and Dr. Becky Gillaspy. Straightforward and no nonsense. And I’m speaking directly to this video with the elephant analogy and the pronunciation of guacamole, etc… Thank you and stay brilliant.
Doug
Dr. Gundry cardiologist, who is very popular and all over YouTube with info videos talks about gut health. Claims that eggplant, tomatoes, & bell peppers are all needing to be avoided due to the seeds in them causing leaky gut syndrome. Do you have a opinion on that remark? Thanks
A great video Dan thank you for sharing it with us. I’m going on to a low carb diet because I have poor kidney function & was told it would help me. Thank you once again !!

Love the avocado, cut in half, and place a little of the homemade dressing (olive oil/vinegar) with herbs and raw garlic in the holes.
