    I don’t do keto, but why does LITERALLY NOBODY talk about rapini/broccoli raab? On top of vitamins and minerals, it’s basically just protein, fiber, and plant omega-3s.

    Veggies have carbs, so yeah, a cup or so is a chunk of your macros. I used to eat a whole steamed bag of keto friendly veg with my dinner, love it. But then realized how many carbs. One bag of broc is almost all of my carbs for the day. So, now I do measure my veg.

    mine from Mexico SLP, only 3 ingredients; corn,water,food grade
    calcium hydroxide. Corn is non GMO
    and is white corn , not the yellow sweeter kind from here, that still like
    it very much. Cut in fourths and ate
    through the day, it will not kick me out of keto.

    So if you want to enjoy fries (or some other potato dish) from time to time, what is the best way to prepare them (to be least harmful)? Fry in lard? Perhaps eat them together with some other food to minimize the negative effects.

  22. I made asparagus fries for the first time last week and I’ve had them like 4 times since! They are SO GOOD and for me they’re my fry substitute!! Literally… hardly ANY asparagus flavor and when I dip them in some mayo and no sugar added ketchup… Ann it’s UH-MAY-ZING!! I legit just had some as my dinner last night lol.

    About 300 cals and 10 net carbs for 10 thick asparagus fries including the flour, cheese, ketchup etc.!!!

    Cut about 2 inches off the bottom of the asparagus (works with the thick and thin ones but I like the thicker ones because it’s more veggie to “breading” ratio). Mix one egg and a splash of your choice of milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond because it’s just what I had lol). Mix egg and milk. Also mix about 3 tablespoons your choice of flour (I use almond flour) and grated Parmesan cheese (I use just dry grated). Dip asparagus in egg wash then in flour/cheese mix and put on a pan on parchment paper. In oven on 400 for about 25 mins! If you want them crispy use the thin ones if you want just a bit more of a bite use the thick ones! Play around with your oven and cooking time.

    But man I’m tellin’ ya, it feels like a guilty pleasure!!!

  25. From my own experience, don’t start the keto diet. It is just so hard on the body and outright dangerous. Listen to your doctors. I tried the Agoge diet and I lost so much of that belly fat.

    I wish you wouldn’t say a cup of two of veggies and change that into grams. That way it would be easier to weigh food out. A cup of liquid, or powder is fine but not for veggies. Great videos!

    I find most of these diets difficult to adhere to, including the keto diet. What worked best for me is the Agoge Diet plan. You get to eat nutritionally rich foods without starving.
