Look at lions and cheetahs, they dont eat vegetables but they are strong ,fasting is better I guess.

This is said from creation; And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

    Genesis 1:29-31

The problem nowadays, a lot of the foods are processed which when put through the mouth into our bodies will create disease in the cells.

Answer this question? Can the Gorilla survive in the North pole?. Can the Polar survive in the jungle?. No! the gorilla eats plants and fruit (look at its stature ) the polar consumes flesh. You see they both live in different environments that contributes to their diet.

Be careful about the information you digest, research for yourself it could be to your detriment. Fruits have cured people from diabetes (because of its natural sugars, not processed sugars sold in the supermarket) especially seeded grapes. Think about it! anything synthetic will cause disease in the body as it is not natural like ‘anti-biotics. The word ‘anti’ works against the organic process of healing. The medical industry creates ‘drugs’ in prescriptions which elevate the disease and kill the cells in the body.

My "cheat" is 1/4 c frozen blueberries, 15 gms walnuts, and 1 tbls cream. So satisfying 😌 😍

  5. I think eating more fruits and vegetables and some meat each day is very healthy.

You can’t get fructose from any vegetable I know of 🙂

  7. TehPwnerer says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:02 am

Fruit is natures candy and it should be treated as such an occasional treat

  8. bear dumaw says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:02 am

I’ve been following Dr Paul Mason, a brilliant young doctor researching metabolic health. His latest research suggests that maybe plant material with all of it’s anti-nutrients may not be healthy or required for people to eat. And in fact may positively influence People’s Health from abstaining from high amounts of vegetables and fiber.

  9. Christopher Ellis says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:02 am

Dugald Semple and Arnold Ehret were fruit eaters, as was Idi Amin. The pancreas tends to rebel against it.

Booooooo, where’s the environmental impact video? Does science support keto or meat diet for all populations? What about the proven correlation with colon cancer among others… not very well rounded

  11. This seems like dangerous science and casting doubt on the truth just to create more confusion. Seriously! the earth is green and all living things feed of the earth for life so why would the life force be bad. Now if you created this video for viewers to be skeptical of information and channels we find on YouTube then you have succeeded in this one. Grains of salt taken!

  12. I eat local berries when they are in season (about 6 glorious weeks). After berries, I enjoy local peaches when in season, with full-fat yogurt (3 more gluttonous weeks). Then it’s back to Carnivore for the rest of the year. Vegetables and their fiber grind my digestive transit time to a near halt.

Thanks, Doc. How about exploring the plant defenses/anti-nutrients found in most vegetables such as phytic acid, oxalates, lectins and other endocrine disruptors? Also, the lack of bio-availability with most. More and more data is skewing this way.

  14. William Nichols says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:06 am

The reason for the reactions to fruits is called detox. It gets worse before it gets better. An extended juice fast is needed to clean out the digestive system. Inorganic gmo fruit is a problem but there is no substitute for organic tree ripened fruit, which you really can’t find in stores in usa. Science has proven high meat consuming populations have shorter lifespans.

sooooooo many well meaning quacks out there , masquerading as doctors when they don’t know jack SQUAT . the truth may well be MEAT IS THE BEST FOOD animal not plants . plants have chemical defenses fruit is sugar plain and simple. look around and see the obesity, its sugar overload. we are on our OWN look at the carnivore diet. think about your ancestors . the ruminate animals can deal with plant defenses, we should eat them ..
no insulin response superior nutrients. listen to the thousands of amazing carnivore stories reversing bad health.

  18. I think the real problem is how to make reliable studies, since it’s very difficult to control how and what people eat in a study and you can’t do it for a long time, and the environment, stress etcetera effects us alot too. And mice are not exactly like humans. Furthermore we are not the same and we react differently to different foods… But rejecting all the studies for that reason is not the answer either.

It’s bizarre how complicated this has all become. I grew up in the 1950’s. Most people were slim. The exact opposite of today. We ate bread, potatoes, peas, meat, vegetables, and occasional fruit. We ate fat. I never ate at a restaurant until I was 19. Take away food was fish and chips once a week. We ran around a lot. There wasn’t much else to do. We ate fat on toast with salt. In the 1970’s and 80’s we were told fat was bad and carbs were good. We had more sedentary entertainment. Processed foods became much more available. And then the obesity and diabetes epidemic began. We got richer, lazier, and fatter.

Thank you for your brave discussion!. What I find interesting is how ppl change. Example, the small group of ppl you refer to who can’t tolerate veggies is not static. You may think you’re not in that group at some point, that can change. Why force yourself to eat something you don’t need? You can get the same micronutrients from animal nutrition. Your body doesn’t have the difficulty digesting both plant and animal sourced foods at the same time. I move towards simplicity and clarity.

Zucchinis and bell peppers are fruit, so low sugar fruits are an option. Also avocados…

Vegtables are not important. They are trash food. Period.

  26. I need veggies for proper bowel movements. I tried no veg and everytime I try it, I get constipated. So, eggs, fish, chicken and low carb veggies I do best with! Meats and dairy trigger my hot flashes.

  27. Thank you for the video, doctor.
I wonder if it is possible that a person on a moderate keto diet gets higher than normal insulin ( 7 in reference) level after 2 months ?

  28. Chris Ricciardi says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:25 am

Free from severe autoimmune disease on carnivore and now medication free. 2 years on diet for Colitis /Crohn’s.

  29. So sorry to say this … But we seem to be putting each other under so much pressure to be ‘keto’ or sugar free etc. I am new to all of this (18 months along) and really struggle at times being full keto as I am semi vegetarian as I am unable to tolerate the taste / texture / smell of red meat, pork, lamb etc. I touch it and cook it for my Dad, and occasionally taste it to see if my taste buds have changed. I have disliked meat since I was 12, which was in 1979. My parents and family were devastated, it was purely personal taste and no tv / propaganda / peer pressure etc.
I eat chicken and fish, and now enjoy cream in coffee, soups etc. I so wish I ate meat as i know I am missing out on so much. However, fruit and veg, nuts and seeds give me so much pleasure and i love the taste of them and the smell, and texture in my mouth are absolute pleasure.
40 years later, I now choose how to spend my time enjoying food. And what I will forfeit in order to
balance my weight, mood, insulin levels etc. So …. I have chosen to stop eating wheat, pasta, cakes, potatoes, crisps, icecreams etc, and attempt to have one meal a day which incorporates those fruits I enjoy so that I limit the amount of times my insulin levels ‘spike’. I also opt to fast for 72 hours alternate weeks so that I can achieve autophagy. It is not easy, but I no longer crave wheat, icecreams etc and achieve the ‘balance’ that suits my lifestyle and needs rather than feeling guilty coz I am having fruit and vegies. So …. Enjoy those gifts of wholesome and unprocessed foods. Cutting out all those processed seed oils helps too ie canola, sunflower, rice, soy bean, and the shop bought ‘dressings’ and hidden sugars, flavours, sweeteners, colouring etc

needs and wants are 2 different things

  32. That’s me. Can’t digest veggies well. I can do most tubers however. I can eat fruit but tend not to. I feel SO much better plant free.

  33. Also, doctor , what is your opinion about the dried apples made at home totally without chemicals outside in the sun?
    Thank you

  34. Cherry_Waves976 says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:30 am

I’m over it lol. I’d rather be fat and die

  35. In my oppinion, pollution (intrusive intervention in the way of how things works on our planet/how i like to see it) affects us, all, on so many different levels. We are limited by nature, we just deny that because of pleasure and addictions, fact (we do that because this is how our society works nowadays, sadly). The thing is that we pay the price, so, everyone can make a difference for him, but, overall, we (as society) just pay the price of being unconscious in our actions. Everyone should be a good example for the rest of the world in order to regress, slowly, what years of indifference in last generations did. If you choose the action, you must accept the consequence as well.
PS: I recommend reading "REGENERATION"- Ending the climate crisis in one generation by Paul Hawnken.

  36. Inflammation (sugars/no healthy animal fat/processed oils/flour) is driving all of these symptoms (allergies,…). I cut those and after losing 8 kg from 72kg the symptoms went away. The systems are overwhelmed and then cancers can attack. Stop smoking/drinking and sweat it out/fast it out.

  37. Super interesting point you made about high fiber worsening bowel movements. I did not know about this and now realise that often time I will be constipated when I have a large salad. I never put 2 + 2 together on this, thank you for pointing this out and it is of course one of the many reasons I love your channel!

Thank you for putting great information out there in a very accessible manner.

  38. Protein is the main constituent of all living matter, found mainly in animal sources. Fruits and vegetables are secondary and trimary. Yes, you can live without fruit and vegetables, as I have for nearly 10 years.

  39. Excellent video❣️
I’ve been one who has always had problems with a high fiber diet.
If I didn’t know that you were a doctor, I would swear you were a rabbi. 😜

  40. steven jabs says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:41 am

Its not what you eat, its when you eat, Intermittent fasting is better I guess.

  41. bear dumaw says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:43 am

When I was eating the SAD American diet I was eating lots of vegetables. Always has irritable bowel problems bloating and constipation. I developed prediabetes and so I switched to ketovore elimination diet. I eat mostly meats eggs cheese. Cut out every thing else. My health improves within weeks, bloating gone ! irritable bowel symptoms gone! I started introducing some grains vegetables and started to get bloating again. found out i can only eat asparagus artichokes and a few low sugar berries. Absolutely no grains, or high suger fruits or high fiber hi oxalate vegetables. I feel my best on a ketovore diet and my blood tests are excellent.

  42. I tried not eating fruits and veggies, but that did not last long because I got bored just eating meat.

  43. Florence Onianwah says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:47 am

    Hi

  44. Bell pepper is a fruit. Not a vegetable. Anything containing seeds is a fruit.

  45. bear dumaw says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:48 am

Humans never ate alot of vegetables as recent studies in evolution is it showing. And in fact plants do not want to be eaten that’s why they are full of anti-nutrients and phytotoxins. Dr Paul Mason talks about this.

  46. missing1person says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:48 am

Two to three cups a week of vegetables is enough fiber for the gut.

  47. Butch Knapp says: August 1st, 2022 at 6:50 am

I’m not a fan of fruit at all. I tried going carnivore but had constipation problems. Green vegetables dose help considerably.

  48. Look all these theories for eating is silly as long as you eat things that are not processed your fine apples anything that’s growing naturally is fine I need oatmeal every morning with blueberries and one egg on intermittent fasting around noon and then I have a small meal at around 5:30 with chicken or meat or fish and some vegetables and an apple again sometimes I eat cheese as a snack plus a lot of water just make it simple no processed foods no bread no pastries no sugar I have one cheat meal a month with the piece of cheesecake it keeps me happy plus I exercise keeps me very trim if I feel I’m eating too much I just cut it down to one meal a day and that’s it fruits are fine as long as they’re natural in the whole fruit sometimes I like eating pineapple, Orange or even a banana there’s there’s nothing wrong with that I substituted for the Apple Life’s too short
