Any diet that requires external synthetic supplementation to sustain is not natural and therefore not good . It needs to work for the child living in rural Africa and the one living in NYC

Hi , can you please debate the following question ! Are natural bodybuilders healthier than people that don t eat meat ? Because I heard you saying that we Don t need animal protein …and achieving your goals as a bodybuilder , relying on plant based protein sources is , not only very hard , but it also involves eating soy products or legumes , which are full of lectins . So how can you build muscle , avoiding meat and also eating for longevity , avoiding lectins ? It s a really underrated topic , which no dietician or nutritionist doesn’t want to tackle because it seems impossible to build your body eating for longevity….although we see so many vegan bodybuilders , they Don t look healthy nor they eat healthy , even thought they try to show that they found the recipe for success , it s a lie ….most of them didn’t even started as vegans , so for me , building muscle as a vegan is a big lie …I m not saying it s not possible but it s definitely not a healthy eating process.

Dr. Gundry. Why would a tomatoe have lectins? Isnt it meant to be eaten due to seed spreading? Plantes and fruit has many seed spreading strategies, wind, attachment and be eaten. Probably more strategies too. In my opinion a tomatoe plant will spread its seeds by animals eating the tomatoe. It consists of fruit meat and are red which will attract animals. Isnt it counter productive to contain huge amounts of lectins to scare away animals then?

My GI problems and joint pain disappeared when I stopped eating all nighshade plants. Most people think I am crazy and a hypochondriac and my GI doctor has no interest in discussing how food sensitivities are an important trigger for colitis and crohn’s disease. Basic common sense but ignored by Western practitioners.

2 Questions Dr.Gundry:I have suspected for some time that I have blocked arteries even tho 17 years ago they looked in my heart with a camera and there were no blockages. But,I had back and neck surgeries and I was on pain killers ( opiates) until last year I couldn’t shake them because of chronic pain and the terrible withdrawals.I got off those a year ago using Kratom powder from Indonesia which I still use for pain.(1)Wi this style of eating help me to clean my arteries ?(2) Do you know if the Kratom powder will hinder me in any way.Ive been doing keto for 6 mos and lost 30 pounds but just discovered Plant Paradox.I just ordered all your books.Thsnk you for all your work and you YouTube podcast.IM HOOKED!

  9. I have DEFINITELY found some relief on the plant paradox program and I would 1,000% recommend it. I really dislike doctors, some more famous than others, who have REALLY downplayed the removal of lectins from the diet. They call Dr Gundry a quack and he’s hawking products, etc. They COMPLETELY ignore the fact that this is working for SO many people! I don’t get how they can ignore that data. Denial? Anyway…happy eating everyone!

I needed to hear this thank you🙂

  12. Amen to being cured from feeling like an 80-year-old! The last straw for me was lying on a massage table (which I had to increase for relief). Decades struggling with brain fog, exhaustion and myalgia, after a year of taking statins my myalgia had gotten so bad it literally hurt to lie on the massage table. I could feel my muscles hanging from my ribs.

But even questioning the PP protocol as I went, considering some of the thoughtful naysayers, this couple’s videos of their journey were also helpful in my transition. Not looking back.

    Thank you.

Blood clots in legs and lungs I have been told it has to do with Protein S and C and ATP. 39 YEAR OLD MAN. COULD THIS BE CONNECTED TO Lectins reaction this person eats a NAD.

  17. David Lee Kunkel says: August 9th, 2022 at 8:38 am

Dr Gundry, I have an autoimmune disease called Sarcoidosis and I have been on your Plant Paradox for 6 months, having given up all processed foods, legumes, dairy, and all grains, and lost 25 pounds. Upon new studies published saying most of us are deficient in Vit D, I began supplementing 5,000 IU Vitamin D daily, and my Vit D blood levels went from 24, to 74, to 101 over the next 6 months. My doctor said I must stop Vit D immediately as Vit D Supplementation is contraindicated in Sarcoidosis as I am in danger of hypercalcemia, where Calcium will begin leaching out of my bones into my blood stream,. Please comment on this disease on your podcasts!!

  18. William Hucker says: August 9th, 2022 at 8:41 am

Dr. Gundry, as with all your books and programs, this was excellent, and this young couple deserve your recognition of their work. And Dave Hale’s question to you turned-out to be of great benefit
to me, at least knowledge wise at this stage. I had an "iffy gut" for years, but in the early 2000’s I stopped eating gluten and everything resolved, so all good, but in 2015 I got pneumonia and was
put on a very long course of antibiotics and naturally, in 2016 developed "bad" gut problems. I, a very fit septuagenarian, have three of your books: "The Plant Paradox; the P.P. Quick & Easy; and The Longevity Paradox", and am doing quite well, but still have some unresolved gut and skin issues, and because of almost scrupulous reading of "The L. Paradox", I did see your proviso on page 219 re people with ‘gut issues’ – i.e do not eat raw veg., so I stopped eating salads, but unfortunately I had underlined, but failed to absorb the info on Pages 193 and 194! I have been eating mountains (small mountains), of steamed Broccoli, B. Sprouts, Cauliflower, Cabbage, and being very good (read stupid), eating them ‘al dente’ to capture all the goodies they contain.
So you see, Dave’s question and your excellent response will be of great benefit to me. I have been eating resistant starch veg, so will continue this, but will stop eating the broccoli, etc., and
maybe re-introduce later, but then cook them to mush. P.S. I love the tidbits re your trips to Italy. Thank you. Patricia H.

  19. In the interview when Dr. Gundry said the Kale smoothie caused digestive upset for him, I got confused. He mentioned the chopped leaves being the problem. But he said normally he doesn’t have a problem eating Kale. Then he told Dave that because of his (Dave’s) Crohn’s, he might not be able to eat kale or cruciferous vegetables. What causes these healthy vegetables to cause problems, especially when chopped up? I don’t think it’s lectins. Thanks.

  20. Brian J Anderson says: August 9th, 2022 at 8:42 am

What a great interview! I’ve just finished Dr. Gundry’s book and have told 3 people to read it. Just now, I sent an email with this video to a recently made acquaintance who is suffering with Crohn’s. He’s presently taking ‘medication’ for it but wouldn’t a appropriate diet be better? I think so!

  21. Francesca says: August 9th, 2022 at 8:42 am

Just curious if you need to be on this diet forever??

  25. I just came across a great cassava tortilla recipe at this link: https://www.powerhungry.com/2020/06/2-ingredient-cassava-flour-tortillas-oil-free-vegan/ I made them and I also made the coconut flour tortillas and I think I am going to actually combine the two recipes and it will be the perfect texture. Either are good on their own.

Thank you Dr Gundry! After suffering with severe sinus and breathing issues 24/7 year round for over 20 yrs, with 7 sinus surgeries removing nasal polyps and not being able to taste or smell most of that time it all is being reversed through diet alone, I can now taste and smell again and my constant sinus issues are diminishing along with the polyps, my Drs are amazed. Most who don’t know what lectins are who suffer from diseases should consider their influence on them, it probably will be a life game changer. Bravo Dr Gundry!

  32. KC&DJ Operations Channel says: August 9th, 2022 at 8:56 am

At the Centre for Digestive Diseases in Sydney Australia they have been curing Crohn’s diseases at a rate of 85% success rate, curing Ulcerative Colitis at a 90% success rate and most IBS cases as well 95% success rate. Turns out these are not Autoimmune diseases at all, these are infections with pathogens. In the case of Crohn’s it is caused by the MAP bacteria which is related to the bacteria that cause Tuberculosis and Leprosy (Slow growing, why it takes so long to kill its hosts) . It causes the same symptoms in livestock but there it is known as Johne’s disease. They cure it by a combination of a few very old way out of patent tuberculosis and leprosy antibiotics given to a patient for up to 2 years then a series of gut flora transplants from a healthy donor. 85% of patients are then cured for life, no more medications, no nothing, true cure. It seems that the real cause is the patient is missing some friendly gut flora that are antagonists to the MAP bacteria, by getting them back into the system and in control, the patient can be cured. The reason the cure rate is only 85% is because some strains are now antibiotic resistant. The most important part of the cure (The gut flora transplant) was banned in the United States in 2013 by the FDA and now considered an "Experimental Drug" which is just a fancy way to hand it exclusively over to pharmaceutical companies. This is why very few in the USA have heard about this. The reason Crohn’s appears to be Genetic is because families often live in the same area and eat similar foods and have similar gut biomes. If the mother is missing important gut flora the children will all miss it too, which is why it appears to be genetic but that can be remedied.

I have cans of oysters and sardines that are packed in olive oil. I use these as fast lunch grabs. Then I grab a jar of garlic stuffed olives, a bag of raw veggies, small Mason jar of nuts for a snack. I am hoping that is ok. My body says it is ok.

  48. Colin Kelley says: August 9th, 2022 at 9:15 am

I am of the opinion that just about everyone has a leaky gut thanks to RoundUp and GMO corn, soy, wheat, and canola. Because of this, oxalic acid also becomes a big problem. From what I can tell, leaky gut is associated with all autoimmune conditions. Bone broth, cabbage soup, collagen, and vitamin D can help heal a leaky gut. If you have a "rubber tire" around your waste you probably have a fatty liver. Having a fatty liver is probably the biggest reason many people can’t do KETO. If you cut way back on the sugars and starches, can create the situation, where without insulin in your blood, your body starts to melt the yellow fat away without even being in ketosis. Too much of this fat going into your blood can create a fatty liver. Add to this the heavy metals and other toxins and oxalates, you could have a perfect storm while you are trying to get well. Conclusion: find a good doctor, have him monitor your blood while you do this.
