I have a question about two meals a day. I was taught, and thought it was better to eat smaller meals throughout the day, instead of trying to vest so much all at once. Is that not true?
It’s July and I’m still planting. I just planted peas and thought oops better see what Dr. Berg says. But all my high carb foods get canned and stored so it’s okay.
I think your info is incorrect? According to the Ca Artichoke Advisory Board the nutritional label says ..1 artichoke with 53 grams edible portion has 6 gm carb 5 gm fiber 1 gm sugar …using an FDA nutrition label. Ty
Your info on artichokes is SO wrong. Wtf. You would have to eat 20 artichokes to get 269 grams of carbs. One artichoke is 474 mg potassium, 13.4 carbs and only 1 gram of sugar so it’s actually decent to eat and has wonderful nutrients.
This is why I can’t trust anything you say. And to think I originally believed everything on this channel. Smh this is so irresponsible. I’ve caught you being incorrect so many times….like saying popcorn is gmo when it actually never is gmo. It’s different from sweet corn. Which also there’s nothing wrong with gmo imo the more I’ve researched it there’s no reason to fear it. Actually looking at the other info your wrong about some of the other stuff too. Where in the world did you pull these numbers from.
I am confused about artichokes. In this video they are no for keto, however I just downloaded the pdf of healthy ketosis acceptable food list and artichokes are on the list as acceptable. What is the correct answer?
One thing I’ll never accept is completely staying away from any of these fruits and vegetables. What this chart tells me is that they all have their unique traits/benefits.
The numbers for corn and artichokes are wrong. Very wrong. Carb numbers are way too high, and some other figures are also wrong.
The actual numbers for a cup of corn are: Approximately 30 grams of carbs and 6 grams of sugar.
The actual numbers for artichokes are: Approximately 9 grams of carbs and 1 gram of sugar. Note: 9 grams, not 269 grams of carbs.
But worse than having obviously wrong numbers is then using them to reach obviously wrong conclusions. Artichokes are bad for keto? Huh? Actually, it’s one of the best vegetables for keto.
If I mistakenly write that I’m 60 feet tall instead of 6.0 feet tall, that can be excused as a simple typo. If I then make a video where I keep repeating that I’m 60 feet tall, and that I can therefore leap over houses and school buses, people would wonder if I actually know what I’m talking about.
What’s better…Raw carrots or cooked (steamed) carrots? I like two mix my carrots and broccoli together, steam them, and put real parmesan cheese on them.
I think fermented artichoke is fine.
This is such great info!!!! Yay…thankyou so much
I’m VERY Happy with my weight. I’m happy I can eat my peas

Thank you Dr.Berge😍😍😍
5:38 When Dr berg has an "OMG BECKY" moment. Its gotta be related to carbs haha
It’s July and I’m still planting. I just planted peas and thought oops better see what Dr. Berg says. But all my high carb foods get canned and stored so it’s okay.
Thanks . Was very informative. Thought carrots worse. How wrong I was.
The corn protein is way off sorry. Ty
Corn and peas are seeds, that’s why they have high protein.
Can you please site your sources because I can’t find the same information as you for some of these.
I don’t think your grams are correct on Artichokes??? You have 11 on one video and 269 on another? Please explain?

If you’re not sure, what are we non Dr supposed to think and do?

What about cucumbers? I wish Dr. Berg would’ve included cucumbers in this list since it’s a common vegetable.
What about lentils and beans?
its impressive to see how Dr Berg looked older a couple years back compared to now, proof he knows what he’s talking about
What about beets and carrots if they are fermented, how would they stack up?
Artichoke, 269 grams of carbs?
No that’s incorrect. A whole artichoke has about 13 grams of carbs. I think you meant 26.9g possibly in a cup.
I am confused about artichokes. In this video they are no for keto, however I just downloaded the pdf of healthy ketosis acceptable food list and artichokes are on the list as acceptable. What is the correct answer?
Thanks again Doc. I have been following your recommendations now for 5 weeks, I have lost 17 pounds, and don’t get hungry 😊
Beet carrot juice

When switching to keto…are there aude effects of dropping carbs altogether?
Is this raw or cooked veggies? I am assuming it makes a difference
Can I eat beans ?
I love fresh sweet corn on the grill in the summer wrapped in foil with butter I may or may not enjoy that occasionally
Those carbs in artichokes, are they not resistant starch which doesn’t spike blood sugar too much, if at all?

This video should be fixed or amended.
Oh, man…I love beets…
Your numbers are WAY off on artichokes
I can’t
eat eggs
Thanks for your vids. Love them 🙂
Also are you talking about raw or cooked vegs ? Would it make a difference ?
Can’t see the board with the words going across the video
Eat peas like hell😑
What’s better…Raw carrots or cooked (steamed) carrots? I like two mix my carrots and broccoli together, steam them, and put real parmesan cheese on them.
Maybe 1/4 cup of peas in a keto recipe
Thank you 😊
Tomato have lectin
The peas I eat in Norway has 8 grams of carbs out of that has 4,8gram of sugar. (out of 100grams)
13g of carbs in 1 med artichoke…
I absolutely needed this cauliflower pizza recipe. Thank you so much😌
Is it for boiled beets or raw beets ?
How could our possibly eat a cup of artichoke? You can’t eat most of an artichoke.
A cup of corn is about 30g of carbs. I get a lot out of most of your videos, but come on, this is just ridiculous!! Lol.
what about buckwheat Dr.?
I am not gonna watch. As I can not find out if tomatoes in on the ban list! 😅😅😅
it all comes down to the amount. don’t eat 1kg of beets, but i just add a tablespoon of diced cooked beets to my green salad. that’s 10g or something.
