Vegetables has never agreed with me. Most are sprayed with pesticides herbicides insecticides. glyphosate. Lectins, phytates, oxalates…… so many problematics with vegetables.
I didn’t read the full article, but reading the press release it blew my mind. How those scientists could get to this conclusion based on a diet with 5 tablespoons of vegetables per day on average? That’s insane. If the participants are eating only this tiny daily amount of vegetables, it means that their diet is totally dominated by animal products, and that’s the reason why they didn’t identify any benefit coming from vegetables. The RDI for fruits and vegetables is at least 25x higher in an omnivorous diet. How about investigating strict vegetarians or vegans against omnivorous? How can you get any benefit from something if this something isn’t present?
my stomach hurts from veggies and I never liked the flavor.. now that I discovered carnivore diet I wont ever eat a veggie again lol. i just feel way better with meat only.
Some of the healthiest things – nightshades, raw cacao, almonds, spinach – have oxalates in them. It is a good idea to swap these for other produce that have the same nutrients (or are even denser) without the oxalates. Think cruciferous vegetables and rukkola.
a few tablespoons of vegetables… what a joke!!
In 2010 after a decade of due diligence, Medicare began to offer a free educational program for heart disease patients called the Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation (ICR) program. This program teaches patients better lifestyle choices to reverse their heart disease. Guess how many tablespoons of vegetables that they would recommend that you eat?
Fact is, we didn’t evolve as farmers. Carnivore has emerged as a valid therapy for many stubborn health problems. Low Carb has already shattered the nutritional dogma from the Low Fat 80s. True snout-to-tail Paleo nutrition will almost certainly re-emerge as the healthiest human diet.
Thanks for the video. i eat both vegetables and meats and less sugars, starches(breads, etc), and many fruits(have sugar), and seems to work well with my weight. Now other doctors on youtube say that some vegetables are better than others far as Carbs for a keto diet. Learning more every day. take care.
I’ve suffered with IBS and Bipolar disorder all my life. After reading articles from Dr Georgia Ede I went on an elimination keto diet. No vegetables at all. Now I don’t suffer from either disease. I love vegetables but they don’t like me! I’m finally well.
Its not specified how or what was put on the vegetables or how prepared. It’s more likely the OIL not the vegetables or fruit. All OIL is the a very unhealthy highly processed extremely Caloric item.
Dr Paul Mason, Dr Anthony Chaffee both talk about how plants are not healthy for humans. How plants have anti nutrients and phytotoxins that have a harmful effect on human health. I’m on the fence about vegetables as I do enjoy some of them. I do feel alot better after cutting way back on vegetables and eating my grass-fed Meats, fats and pasture-raised eggs. Interesting the more I have cut out vegetables the more my inflammation goes away.
I have heard a shift over the past couple decades of people saying "vegetables are good for you" to "green leafy vegetables" and "especially green leafy vegetables". For many years I considered sugar to be perfectly OK for me because of so many people saying "vegetables and fruits are healthy" because I knew sugar in vegetables is the same as sugar. Refined sugar was only bad because more could be eaten quickier. So if I limited sugar then it was OK.
So glad I happened to run across low carb diets. Been on it 3 years. Very surprised how I don’t crave food now. That alone is worth it for me. My brain does still think about sugar, but wouldn’t call it a craving. More like a memory. Like remember how much going to a drive-in movie was? Then going to one and thinking "this really isn’t that much fun". It was always the looking forward to eating sugar that was fun, then a few minutes of eating it. So today I go into the bakery department and look at the bake goods and enjoy that part. Weird, I know.
DID YOU KNOW the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to ban real meat, and if history is any indication, the same decision may be taken by other countries as well. The U.S. ban is
slated to take effect April 1, 2024
There’s a reason we have both herbivorous and canine teeth. It’s likely because we were meant to eat minimally processed meat and vegetables. …oh, and complex and simple carbs were only meant for fattening up to survive winters when food sources became more scarce.
I don’t trust these studies. Most likely these studies came from pharmaceutical companies or process food companies. They won’t spend money on studying carnovore, paleo or keto because there is no money to be made in these foods. These studies are heavierly baised anyway. Process food companies are coming out with fake keto foods, so becareful
When studying the bible we say, "Context is king." This hyperbole is meant to caution the student against error – to permit the bible to interpret itself and not allow one’s own personal religious proclivities to define what is being read. But you said it in this video too. Context matters.
I recently listened to a YouTuber – one who pushes the Ketogenic Diet. In the video he said that the human body cannot absorb vitamin C if it is ingested along with carbohydrates. I reminded him in the comments that most vitamin C is consumed in vegetables – i.e. CARBOHYDRATES. His video said that the body cannot distinguish between vitamin C and glucose and so that if glucose is present then no vitamin C can be absorbed. If I’m not mistaken, if glucose is not present, we die.
This is how we deceive ourselves. He is so off the deep end on keto that he judges God to be an idiot. God cannot make a human body with the ability to distinguish between carbs and vitamins. SMH
We say "context is king" in order to prevent error in bible study but, as you can see, it’s not a discipline limited to the word of God. It has application in all technologies.
I escaped vegetarianism after many years of brain washing. I am now eating meat but in all honesty I don’t eat it more than a couple times a week. I am eating some dairy and seafood now. I got hooked by Dr Barnard and Dr Greger and Esselstyn and Campbell.. I know I am not alone. There are lots of people who don’t know they have been brainwashed. Most people these days walk around brainwashed by many things. I am waking up little by little.
I have eaten vegetables all my 60 yrs. I eat chicken, fish, and an occasional steak. I eat chickpeas. My blood work is great. I don’t go by studies. I go by how l feel. I feel healthy, that is all that matters to me.
In 1930 are veggies 700% healtier than now. Also the gmo has effect, and main stream media promotes veggies and a lot of people die of cancer. I am on red meat diët and feel strong and great and less tired. But i am not a food adviser. Only a mma atlete and have bodyfat of 9% on a almost 40 years old body. Do wat what youre body tells you what to eat. Everybody has different genetics with different results on food
If we go back in human history and ask ourselves: why did humans start growing vegetables? The answer is certainly not because vegetables are so healthy, but because over 90% of people were very poor back then, so poor that having something to eat every day was not self evident. Planting seeds from edible plants was a much more doable and affordable way of producing your own food than buying a cow or a sheep, or buying the meat for that matter. And when crop agriculture really started ramping up, again it wasn’t because these foods are so healthy but because it was cheap to grow them. I think that’s important to keep in mind.
People are stupid. French fries and fried veggies are counted as eating vegs.

Plants can’t run
This doctor you can’t trust when science is contending his thoughts

vegetables are unhealthy. it was all propaganda to keep us sick
Science is a rollercoaster
The fiber in veggies helps keep you regular lol
Love it. I’m ditching cauliflower and broccoli and going for burgers, nuggets
and butterscotch Angel Delight. Happy Days.
At this stage I don’t believe any diet advice from any expert. They all seem to be just guessing.

That is ridiculous, if you want to eat only meat please do it but stop saying stupid things. We are eating fruits and veggies since always.

TY 🌼
Let meat be thy food and plants be thy medicine. 🐮😍
I bet more vegetables helps the bowel
You see, I knew this since I was in the first grade but no one believed.
All of my health problems went away when I went Carnivore

The raw vegetables and fruits CURED my breast cancer. It’s AMAZING. Fresh food is the REAL medicine. Period.
health comes with exercise you could eat 20 MacDonald’s burgers a day work out for 3 hours and be fit.

Breaking news:
Most food scientist are incompetent and publish a lot of BS! Just eat healthy!
We’ve evolved to eat a varied diet of natural foods, just don’t eat so much that you get fat and take regular exercise. It’s not that difficult.

Is 8 tablespoons even one serving of vegetables?

I suspect impact on cardiovascular risk is not the singular indicator for whether a food is healthy
Probably the key is to eat low carb vegetarian
Guess I will just waste away now and die 😃
if they are grown from chemicals seeds yes.. and sprayed with chemicals YES they are a hazard to your health.
It’s the cooking oil
Da, jerky is good.
Veggies are so delicious 😋

The China Study definitely contradicts the finding. Don’t know what to believe anymore.
Because vegetables are builders and fruit are healers.
Thanks yet again Dr Bret for clearing up muddle and confusion. in respect to healthy diets.
I’m so confused. I just saw another podcast on all the healthy stuff in fruits and vegetables 😩
