  1. is Monk fruit ok to use as a sweetener? It has a glycemic index of zero.

  2. KaseyTheSleepTech says: June 23rd, 2022 at 1:57 pm

I was more excited for a low carb lifestyle because I knew I could have sugar free products that still tasted sweet. So it wasn’t so hard to make the change. Now, I have a lot I’ll have to re-learn.

Those low carb snacks will derail my diet every time 😒…. its just best for me not to even try that road!

  4. Stephen Williams says: June 23rd, 2022 at 1:58 pm

Always enjoy your videos, such a good delivery style. I have been having low carb sweet snacks that use Allulose or Monk Fruit and do not use the other sweeteners that you pictured in your video, Equal, Sweet & Low and Splenda, and NEVER Aspartame. I am 100% NO Sugar and don’t have any cravings for desserts so don’t think having this sweetness affects my desire for switching back to real sugar.. So, if using these sweet snacks from time to time (Munk Pack – Keto Nut & Seed Bar – Sea Salt Dark Chocolate), am I in danger of not being able to achieve Ketosis? Thanks.

  5. If I do use sugar in baked items I only use Monk fruit, and very little!! Your thoughts on Monk fruit? Pls!!❤

  6. I find raw nuts so boring and the texture is not pleasurable…when I snack I crave salt and crunch! especially the crunch…I love deluxe mixed nuts with sea salt….but again, high sodium content. these are good tips if you dont need to watch salt content, or in the case of rawnuts, if you can tolerate the bland factor. Also I would like to add beef sticks are highly processed. I dont think that is a good choice at all….especially since they dont come from grass fed humanely raised animals.

Is it ok to toast your own seeds and nuts?

  8. Ruth Todd says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:02 pm

I kept wondering why the sugar free cappuccino was making my sugar spike… its first ingredient is maltodextrin and now I know to stay away from it. Your videos are always so informative and are helping to save my life. Thank you.

Chomps meat sticks (turkey or beef) are sugar free.

  10. Most of us who struggle with weight are in fact Carbohydrate/Sugar addicts, even though we don’t perceive that we could be hooked (its the Truth, like it or not). We crave sugar to make us "feel" better. So, if sugar is "natural" and comes from a plant, it stands to reason that Cocaine and Opium are also natual and ok to consume in small amounts, right? Don’t flirt with using sugar; wean yourself off by "using" less or avoiding completely. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Could you please do a blood test on kefir water. See if it raises insuline.

Thank you for this very informative and helpful video. Both my husband and I have cut down on both sugar and carbs. Also eating organic. We both feel so much better.

I’m a new subscriber and find you very inspiring! I have a question about eggs…how many are too many? I eat 3 every morning so I’ve been afraid to use them for snacking then later in the day.

So strange to watch you video when a pepperoni pizza advertiser just popped up in the video. Yikes!

    Excellent information!

  18. Lorena McGovern says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:18 pm

15 years on keto has taught me to stay away from bars and shakes of all kinds. If I make myself an occasional goody I only make one serving because I will always eat it all .

a cup of beef or chicken bone broth works well ….

Another great video Dr. Becky. 🙏

  22. Ok but how much eggs can a person handle per day. Eggs breakfast and eggs snacks. 😞

  23. James California says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:27 pm

Raw sugar snap peas, radishes and string beans. A crunchy snack low in carbohydrates and calories. 😉👌

    You’re so soft-spoken and sweet.

  25. Marian Alvarado says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:28 pm

I recently found you on You Tube, and I’m enjoying learning from you. I’m in good health and pretty good shape for my age (in my 60’s). I still prefer sweet snacks over savory. Can you address having snacks occasionally made with Monk fruit, or stevia?

  26. Harry Wild says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:28 pm

I eat Snicker bar! 250 calories! Works for me!

  27. Except I am sick of eggs!

    Why is salt a factor?

  31. Linda Farris says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:36 pm

I love, love, love all the educational information you and your husband (on the other channel) provide. Now, if I can just get myself to jump in and do this. I too, am a sweet/sugar addict. I’m great on research and collecting knowledge – but short on follow thru. And yes, I have already signed up for the coaching, just have to pull the trigger.

  32. Diane Lynn says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:38 pm

You know, this makes so much sense to me. When I was a teenager I got a toothache from a coffee crisp chocolate bar. 30 years later I bit into a coffee crisp bar and got an instant toothache. Only thing is, there is no tooth there anymore there is an implant tooth there! Thank you!

  33. Gail Kaplin says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:39 pm

    Thank you.

  34. Kloe Lind says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:42 pm

  35. Suresh Lingineni says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:42 pm

  36. Thank you so much…we learning so much from you

The proteins in unnatural nutrients such as protein bars and powders are converted by the body into glucose for more than 80% because the amino acid mixup is incomplete. Only a very small fraction is used towards tissue build up. Perhaps it would be useful to dedicate a video to this subject.

  41. One of your best videos, thanks.

  42. Theresa Rezac says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:46 pm

Artificial sweeteners are not a healthy option! Stay away from all of them.

  43. Stephen Williams says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:46 pm

I probably should have also included that I incorporate ‘Intermittent Fasting’ with a 5 hour Eating Window of from 3-8 pm. Twice a week I might end the eating with one of those Bars.

  44. trekkeruss says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:46 pm

Being very insulin resistant, I have given up on snacking for the time being. I am doing keto OMAD, and honestly, I do not miss eating more often and I do not miss the snacks.

  45. Tips: Be specially aware of Almond flour as it can really jump up in carbs if you buy the wrong brand. Also it is possible to find like Peanut butter with very little carbs if you search for it. Alternatives like Almond butter & lupin flour can also be really low carb (but more expensive or like lupin have a really strong taste). Also even thou making you own "sweets" yourself like icescream it is still possible to get some low carb items like whipped cream on a can & pre-cooked bacon too.

  46. I thought almonds were bad for you in that they contain loads of Omega 6, I maybe wrong.

  47. James Payne says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:50 pm

There was an interesting little documentary on the effects of simply tasting sweetness on the tongue. Could probably find it on YouTube if anyone’s interested. One of those Science channel/ Discovery channel things.

  48. Rita Harris says: June 23rd, 2022 at 2:52 pm

I have been on the Keto diet for over a year and now I am loosing the battle. I also have now begun to have a Histamine issue because of eating certain foods that are Keto friendly. I need a boost to my psyche and find I am so tired of cheese and nuts for snacks.
