When I went to India I was the only person in our group to not get sick, because I didn’t eat meat. I kept getting cucumber cheese sandwiches everywhere, because it was comforting to me as a westerner, familiar, yet kinda different because in America peanut butter and jelly is much more popular than cucumber cheese, very few people eat cucumber cheese sandwiches, but it was balanced and familiar all the same. Now I’m a vegan. I will have to use vegan cheese and make that sandwich again. I miss those.
