    Hisuian voltorb and electrode must likely evolved with humanity. Voltorb and electrode are based on mimics. Back then humanity valued apricorns so voltorb disguised themselves to prey on humans. In the future voltorb disguises as pokeballs to prey on humans. Also the hunted to extinction theory doesn’t hold up because apricorns are easily renewable.

    Your theory Is faulty, it’s just another cashgrab game from Nintendo, that is all, no deaths no *OUR* problem. And sorry but that ending Is even worse, human afraid of pokémon hunted them but thanks to our main character they are saved, not feared anymore, trained and taken care of (well there are bad organizations but that is like in the world).

    Alternatively, without the player’s intervention, humans may have simply tried to exterminate all Pokémon entirely out of fear. Arceus could have been trying to avert the worst case scenario.
