I am so PUMPED. I splurged and finally picked this up today. Back in college I used an Omega juicer which really got me into juicing greens but took FOREVER and was a chore to clean. It’s been quite a few years since I juiced and did my research and got The Vitamix. This is seriously game changer. I can’t wait to finally get back into my green routine lol
Looks like wife barely touched the juice to her lips and your son clinked his glass with mom but never took the first taste! I’m asking, does it taste terrible? I rather know right now. Thanks!

No Beer, No Bread, No Baked products ( OK yes, i ate Some, but only about 10% of my usual amount,)
I ate Fresh Fruit & Fruit Juice, & Plenty of Salads over the Summer.
Cut Down on Going to the Pub from 4 or 5 visits a week to 2 or 3 visits a month. Variable.
Cut out ALL JUNK FOOD inc Daily Visits to the BUTTY SHOP ( Sandwich shop here in the UK. )
Honey in my Coffee in the Morning, X2 Mugs as I awake & Plan my day of work etc. & answer Business calls.
Great video. But don’t use wheat grass! Ever..it’s horrible for you. The human body can’t digest it! It’s considered a processed food. If you need a rule of thumb..if you can pick it, forage for it, and cows don’t graze on it…eat it. Humanities healthiest period was just before we learned horticulture, growing grains in particular. 1-5% of proteins from animals, and the rest from red berries, green veg, and fruits low in sugar and fructose. Oh and go organic with all your stuff, more expensive, but worth the investment in your health!
Followed your recipe, didn’t have any mangoes on hand so i used pineapples on top instead. Just had my first glass with breakfast and It’s actually pretty delicious. My stomach feels great right now lol. Great recipe. Got videos of more recipes?
So I’m watching video while having my Vitamix green drink and I had to pause at 5:07. Why? Because the neglected dirty pitcher of my new A3500 was sitting in the pantry sink, waiting for its blender bath.. Now, that’s better. Anyway, great tip to develop that clean-it-right-away habit. Hi what would be the difference between a green juice and a green smoothie? Let’s say I take these same ingredients but freeze most of them a and then blend it, would it make a difference in nutrition value or overall quality?
Add whatever Veg or Fruit you Prefer of Have in Season in your Garden / Locality.
There is no need to eat or Juice anything you don’t like the Taste of. OR Buy Hard to Find EXPENSIVE Fruit / Veg. .
here’s a very Tasty Summer drink,
I Collect BLACKBERRIES from my Garden, I add a Small amount of water & Gently Simmer them in a pan on the hob for a few minutes, until soft / Broken down in the water, Then Drain the juice into a jug, allow to cool, Then place in the fridge,
Take this Chilled juice & add it to a Nice cold can of cheap supermarket Cider. NOT ALL of the Juice, Add a Few drips, or a Couple of Teaspoon full’s to YOUR TASTE. Dribble more into your glass to suit YOU.
In the UK a 500ml can of 4.5% Cider is about 50p / 60c USA. ( in the UK Cider is Cheaper than a can of Beer or Lager. )
I ALSO Pour a 500ml Can of Cider into a Pint Glass, then pour in the Juice of a Half or Whole Lemon,
You add Squeezed Lemon juice To Suit your Taste.
Very Refreshing on a hot day. ( OK, Not very Healthy, But Very Tasty & at least you are Consuming FRESH Fruit Juice & Vitamins While Having a DRINK in the Garden on a hot day.
I’m heading to the kitchen to try my new Vitamix…I’ve watched your video a number of times and its informative and hilarious! Your just a natural..pay no attention to the voices that say you talk too much…knowledge and humor..ya cant beat it!
This morning I tried your green juice. As I was drinking it I notice the small glass container with the chia seeds! RATS! Next time. I didn’t have ginger root but we have frozen ginger cubes that I used instead, and after a quick sip, decided to add about 2 teaspoons of maple syrup. Also, according to my Vitamix A3500 manual loading order is: liquids, dry goods, leafy greens, fruits & veggies, ice & frozen ingredients. Whereas your recipe states the fruits go before the greens. Not sure what difference it makes. Mine did come out a bit frothy, even after the 30 second, power level 1, air-bubble removal cycle. Aside from all that, my wife and I were very pleased with the result. Thanks again for posting this.
Lol I just made this today. And all I can say is… I mean I don’t hate it 😂. But it’s not something I’ll share with other people lol. It’s an acquired taste I suppose. I drink all two and a half cups without gagging lol. I almost followed the recipe. I used everything you guys did but added some 1 mini cucumber and 1 celery stalk. I just felt like it need more veggies. But boooyyy this doesn’t have any taste to it except for the taste of health. Lol. Do you guys think the added extra vegetables over powder the fruit and took away the flavor by chance?
OH MY OH MY. THIS such a great way to start the morning. I did the recipe in half AND I added 2 nice size dates. It takes the bite off the orange and lemon. I have a problem with acidic fruits and this worked out GREAT!!!!
All looking good! Just be careful with that bitten Apple, I know you feel it’s safe being eaten by your child. I highly recommend you reading up on H. Pylori bacteria. 🙏🏻
This is a great video, lots of good information. Love hoe you interact with your Son. I was making green smoothies for a while when I got my first Vitamix, 10 years ago. There’s been a lull and decided to start again, at age 74. Plus I just did an upgrade and got a new Vitamix 7500. My recipe is a little different, as I include celery, cucumber, spinach and either avocado or banana. I also use almond milk most of the time. Thanks
Great Video. Why not leave all skins on. More flavour in kin than in the juice of Lemon & orange, I ca understand removing the Pith but the outer Colourful part is soooooooooo good. . By degrees you get used to the pith.
I was not impress with your “Washing”. Of the fruit. You did bot wash it, it needs to be washed 100%. , you are not boiling it you are going to drink all the dirt as to the eyes of your viewers you washed it. Come on, Fruit nerds to be washed, It needs to go into a basin of very warm water
Then when you are ready that water needs to be poured off & more water put back in again,
You need small cloth to wash the fruit,
Then repeat the process, it is so simple but very necessary.
Also I was shocked to see you give the very young boy a small piece of aPplee. When you give a young chicle an apple. ALWAYS GIVE THE FULL APPLE. . NO CORNERS CAN B BITTEN IT FF OF A FULL APPLE, . HHE will only eat a small bit of the apple but you can put it into a jar chopped up with some lemon juice over it. It will stay nice & white where it was eaten into & can be used for next blending,
When you are washing an apple for the blender , cut in in half from stem to that bottom An you can wash in the stem part really well . Always rinse again,
So even if you were just rinsing after they had been washed . It is part of the Whole process of eating good food is to make sure that it is ALWAYS. CLEAN. ALWAYS.

Every time I watch this video I see something I didn’t see before. Think it’s possible to add nut butter without messing with the taste too much? I need to find a plain protein to add that won’t mess with it, because after you get used to it this tastes really good.
