I stand by apples and berries😎minus blueberries cause they are very hard to come by where I live and are crazy expensive when you happen on them.

Dates are definitely the highest carb fruits, especially since most of them are dried. I’m not sure how many carbs are in non-dried dates, but they are very sweet.

  7. Tony Wong says: June 18th, 2022 at 11:24 pm

Dates are super high…68g net per 100 g.

I’m experimenting with frozen strawberries as a treat.

That they are frozen has two advantages over fresh strawberries:

    1. Since I can’t eat frozen strawberries when they are FROZEN, I have to portion them out in advance and let them thaw, usually overnight.

I use a one cup canning jaw and add several strawberries, then let them thaw overnight. So that is a good portion control mechanism making it difficult to just chow down on a large quantity of fruit.

Second, the frozen berries can remain in the freezer without spoiling. Fresh strawberries go bad very rapidly, within a day or two. This encourages chowing down on them lest they go to waste.

It’s fewer than 30 grams. Not "less." I had thought it was Americans that "say things that shouldn’t be…"

  23. Yusra Shah says: June 18th, 2022 at 11:39 pm

Don’t get me started on keto… that shit almost killed me. If you want to lose fat, get the *Agoge diet* imo, it worked great for me

  24. Just started my Keto journey. Surprisingly easy so far. I’d suffered (quite literally) from IBS for over 30 years. Now no bloating, no heartburn and no discomfort. Sleep is better, I’m thinking about what I eat and, so far, don’t feel any hunger pangs. Straight in with intermittent fasting 16/8 and not craving food at all. Thinking about food – shopping lists, recipes etc but no cravings. Looking forward to the next few months.

  25. GET TO THE POINT

I see a focus on weight loss when speaking about low carb diet and ketogenic diet.
    That’s quite a shame.
The benefits from these diets are so much more: increased energy, mental alertness, mood and bodily well-being by abstaining from inflammatory foods, or not being bloated or digesting processed foods.

I suppose you can have intermittent fasting days to allow a spoiled day of fruits so you don’t break ketosis. Like a 23:1

  33. Lucie Vrabcová says: June 18th, 2022 at 11:54 pm

Hmm I wonder where more exotic fruits (if they can be considered fruits) stand – e.g. lichee, nashi pears, dragon fruit (pitahaya), passion fruit etc. Nevertheless this is a great video!
