True. I’ll have a big salad in a bowl, and a small part of my plate will be beef or chicken or fish with the rest of the plate being veggies. The carbs are a small fraction of my calories.
I don’t eat bread, flour products grains, and potatoes. I do eat leafy greens and other vegetables, no fruit. Fruit are seasonal foods that weren’t meant to be eaten year round. That’s how fruit becomes bad for you when you eat it outside the normal growth season for that fruit.
I lost 58 lbs in 3 1/2 months on low keto diet…I ate less than 30 carbs a day….never got that hungry and felt full most of the time…my skin tightened..my foot fungus gone ..no heartburn….mental clarity through the roof….ate once a day till I was absolutely full…drank one ounce of apple cider vinager before that meal ..no real exerciseing….weight just fell off and I’m 60…anyone saying carb diets are bad…are full of poop…it a miracle diet…
I don’t get it if your body hardly needs carbs why is it most important?
And why do we need to eat so many different foods to get what we need. I think in our history if that was the case we would be extinct?
Or we could simply eat meat and get all the minerals we need and not need as much of the ones it is low on because we aren’t eating carbs that stop these from being processed efficiently?
I feel best while carnivore. I had so many problems and nothing else helped. Not paleo, not vegetarian, not vegan, not whole 30. Keto did a bit, but nothing like carnivore. Hopefully everyone finds what’s best for them.

Well. You say you get most of your calories from fat and protein but you eat most carbs which wouldn’t have sense. In 1 gram of pure protein there is 4 calories as is there in carbs, so if you eat 100 grams of pure carbs you have eaten 400 calories. So you actually cant eat more carbs then protein and gst more calories from protein. The gate one might be true, there is 7 calories pr. Gram of fat, that’s almost twice to amount if carbs and protein
I am Gonna Give 1KG of sugar, Honey, Muffins, Breads etc to Dr Hyman and ask him to Eat that do Exercise and Show us How it is working to reduce weight?
Tge real problem is that its very difficult to find out which way we have to follow.

What about cutting all carbs, eat a lit more protein with a lot of green vegetables and supplement in Omega 3/6+ multivitamines and doing 10 hours of walking a day ? Is it dangerous somehow ? (Heart, kidney,liver) ?
I believe it! I tried keto and all that fat didn’t sit well and I ate clean. When I was a kid in the 70s there weren’t many fat people and diabetes wasn’t a household name. What happened? Corporations turned food into business and it made food addictive and media pushed fat acceptance and the combo equals a fat population. In Japan, almost everyone around me is thin and they eat a s# load of carbs but not all day and this culture has more pressure to stay thin, except they starting push Western stuff here and promoting some fat comediennes and posting plus size model ads in a few stores. And mind you, I live in countryside where many drive, there are a small amount of overweight and a rare fat person. People do tend to be more active in Japan walking or biking or going to the gym. My Japanese hubby said he feels the difference is when he was in NYC, people seem to be eating all the time, meals and snacking a lot. Plus we eat a lot more sugar and sodas. Many Japanese didn’t grow up being fed sweets much so they don’t have the same cravings. My hubby has a sweet tooth but he has self-control. I feel Japanese are brought up to hav more pressure and gaman (endure) and can still say no. If we make their processed foods more addictive and keep pushing media that fat is ok will they become more like the West in the next few decades?

Vegetable and fruit carbs from fibre never count into your carb total, that’s one of the basic rules.
Literally you should have only needed to read one paragraph deep into a explanation of keto to stumble across that… so the fact you didn’t know is very telling of how little effort you put into researching this.
I think a balanced diet is the way to go. Small portion of brown rice with boiled broccoli, carrots, potatoes and then a pan fried steak to accompany it. So much nutrition in one meal. Exercise is the key to staying slim; weight training is superior.

Low carb is doing wonders for me. I have reactive hypoglycemia. With the low carb diet I get no insulin spikes!
After going from keto to carnivore all my symptoms went away. Meat and eggs has everything you need.
