It is simply about low carbs about 30gm per day approx. It is the selective Keto vegetables that have helped me get my father’s sugar levels to manageable amount. I have switched to "Diabexy Atta" for chapatis.
His sugar level used to be about 250-280 before food and he needed insulin all 3 times (both short and long acting). Now it has been 2 months and he needs insulin once in a day because his sugar level has dropped to 110-125. Just imagine, from 250-282 to 110-125.

Lots of cruciferous veggies, avocados are eaten on the keto diet along with the meats. You also must hydrate well and have good amounts of sodium to absorb vitamins and water well.
