Mango season is here and I just had my first piece of mango today. I’ve been on Keto for 7 and a half weeks but I have been waiting for mango season for much much longer. It’s going to be really hard to not eat those mangoes.
I’ve always eaten lots of fruit when trying to lose weight and it worked well for me. Probably because I cut way down on deserts and ate fruit instead. Love honey crisp apples. My favourite.
Ketogenic diet is really bad for you
We naturally evolved to eat meat fruit dairy eggs and honey vegetables are toxic and you can’t absorb any nutrients or minerals from them
Fruit is essential for electrolytes/ hydration especially watermelon pineapple oranges grapefruit coconut water
I thought I was being healthy eating tons of fruit everyday, then I found out I had fatty liver. Switched to keto diet, only eat berries, and no more fatty liver!
The *Agoge diet* works great and you feel good, in contrast to keto. Keto isn’t supposed to be adhered to by healthy people and without medical supervision.
All people "pro fruit" inuits and many other never eat fruits, only some little amounts in summer + fat and meat. They are even more healthy than us and anybody else. Just sayin 😉
I would only be able to do this if I go on a month or two of keto to lose some fat super quick, but to say no to fruit long term hell no, when I am maintaining my weight fruits a big part of my diet and I have a lot of them without ever gaining weight when keeping active.
OMG. this guy, hopefully, means we’ll. But he’s very mistaken about fruit. Yes. Dates, raisins ect. The very high sugary fruits, rare treats only. But ALL berries ARE fine. As much as you want. Even bananas. Make a mono meal from one type. Why? Well. Despite what these.. Keto,, addicts, say, fruit IS the perfect food for humans. For so many reasons you’d be dizzy with them all. Fat IS the issue. Provided fat is kept at around 15%,preferably, less, of daily calorific intake. You WON’T have poorer health. Only better. Provided most other health full practices are done, you’ll be fine. Research it. The evidence on U tube is there. But keto.. A dangerous lo g term diet. Sadly, I’ve heard this guy say what he eats and drinks daily. Unnatural and harmful. Sorry, Buddy, it just is.
These are exaggerations. Fruit is a healthy diet. And apple you can eat and peach and banana. All you have to do is eat a little! Very little. Eat two oranges a week, eat two peaches a week, or two apples a week. Eat three grapefruits a week. So let the exaggerations stop
Hi Dr. Berg, in case you see my comment, I am thinking of a compromise.
So if I put an apple in the juicer for example and only eat the pulp, without the juice ?
I was wondering how much of the good stuff is in the juice together with the sugar in it, because I understand that besides the sugar, fruits still contain some good stuff too.
Would that be an option ?
I wanted to like the keto diet but it was just impossible, I felt horrible. Then I saw a review about the Agoge diet and I tried it and it was awesome.
If you stick to 5 or 6 fruits only, in the long run you may get some kind of intolerance. Eat fruits that aren’t too sweet and add a couple of nuts at the end, that will offset the extra sugar (sugar spike).
so the fruit God made to humans to eat is wrong…. no that isn’t right… maybe what is wrong is thinking you have to look like 20 when you are 60 years old…Please i know you are a reasonable man but that isn’t right when you go against the Bible
I guess I will be fat cause I only eat fruit and I drink water but I do have to put sweetners in my water. Cause I can’t drink water by its self it’s nasty.

First day of keto and intermittent fasting hit me like a Ramadhaan fast, I didn’t expect that. I can do no carbs I can do no baked goods, no sweets, but no fruits… That’s very hard man

Hi, Im a huge fan, I began your system 9 years ago, it always works. Due to life events, I stopped doing the system at times, as it needs a lifestyle change. I am back on it for a month, already seeing great results. My only issue I have is it seems all of a sudden all Keto practitioners as shunning away from fruit, I clearly remember you saying years ago, fruits with the original skin, like an orange that you peel, serves as a buffer to the fruit sugar, not to mention the majority of fruit have low GI, I can not see why all of a sudden low GI fruits are so negatively looked at considering we have the buffer of the fruit helping us, as long its low on GI it should be standard practice to say It’s ok to eat, back in the day there was no negative feedback to this way of thinking, we do need some sugar, fruits with low GI are ok for keto

If you want to lose fat, I suggest trying the Agoge diet. I lost lots of fat and felt great all the way.
I love grapefruit only fruit I eat on my keto diet . It gives you just enough of that satisfaction of sweetness yet bitter .

I was expecting Dr. Berg to mention lemon and limes. I recall we were allowed the juice of a lemon in water.
