I agree with this take on fruit. Since 70’s I learned to eat muffins the size of pies. Bread, nachos etc. Then in 90’s tried to get healthier and lose weight so I made large blender drinks full of every fruit, kale, spinach etc. Thinking it would be wonderful for my health. Because everywhere I was told this was the best for my body. Wrong, so so many health ad weight issues. Now I am trying low carb and carnivore. Feel so much better and weight down. Husband does not agree. Finding Utube and all these information podcasts has been a life saver. Too bad I had to reach my 70’s to learn about. Great work.

The meat and dairy industries are the most well funded lobbies and sugar industry too.
So if you want to enjoy an apple, or 1/2 of an apple every now and then, which one has the lowest sugar content? I’ve read that granny smith apples are on the lower side, but are there other kinds that are even lower? Maybe there are still some ancient non hybridized species grown somewhere which have very low sugar content.
I am on keto and developed the ability to figure if there is a sugar in anything and how much, it keeps me away from fruits for sure. But I eat them at their seasons and at the region they grew. I assume that nature is smarter than me in some aspects, not in all of them
Clearly a piece of fruit when healthy is okay but not a primary source of nutrition. Great video. I find the less sugar no matter the form the easier I feel better. Prayers.

So … Fruits are bad, vegetables are bad, grains are bad, animal based foods are bad… What the hell does that leave? Based on what I’ve read/watched/learned, you aren’t supposed to eat anything because it’s bad for you. Bull.
I think of fruit this wayโ plants want us to consume the fruit to disperse seeds. Plants do not want us to eat their leaves and roots therefore they are packed with defense chemicals. Fructose from fruit does not behave the same way as fructose added to other foods. I wouldnโt go overboard on fruit, but there is nothing wrong with it. I eat beef and fruit and nothing else. Paul Saladino talks about this at length.

I’m running marathons, never had a weight problem, never had any diseases, have tons of energy and alertness. I feel great! And yet I’m supposed to believe that fruit is bad? Hmmmm.

Eat vegetables.

Nightshades are bad.
Eat meat.

I stick to just 2 portions of fruit a day MAX! preferably the lowest sugar kind like berries
