    Funny how people watch a 2 minute video, explaining one simple aspect of reality (sugar is sugar) and expect detailed and nuanced information. If that is what you want, go watch his longer lectures, but that will take more time. I also guess in the whole program he does go on to explain why eating an apple might be better than drinking a can of coke. Also worth considering that a lot of endurance athletes fuel themselves partially with soda (normally coke, but most sports drinks are not much better) on race day.
    The reason this needs to be said, is lots of people do not consider that fruit to contain sugar, or fruit juice to be a thing to be consumed in moderation.

    Sugar is full of chemicals and it is made in factory so it is processed food on the other hand fruit contains natural sugar majority of fruits sugar digest really easily by the body on the other hand majority of sugar doesn’t digested by body so it becomes fat please don’t mislead people.

  18. This video leaves out the fact that fruit has soluble and insoluble fiber (antioxidants too). While I agree juicing fruit is a poor choice, eating fruit whole has many benefits because the water and fiber content, especially insoluble fiber like pectin, makes you feel full. This is known to science, look up articles about pectin and the hunger hormones leptin and ghrelin. Because fruit is so satiating (filling), it is good to consume as a snack or with meals. Of course, all food should be consumed in moderation.

    Not that long ago, fat was the worse thing to eat and sugar wasn’t that bad, now it’s quite the opposite.
    Not that long ago, cereals where the foundation of the pyramid, now cereals are real bad.
    Not that long ago, milk was very healhty, not anymore.
    Not that long ago, eggs were a no-no, too much cholesterol. Now are among the healthiest things you can eat.
    Not that long ago, fruit was very healthy, now turns out fruit is unhealthy.

    As time goes by, is becoming increasingly hard to believe any diet advice… let’s see what they say in ten years.

    Well now this is false lol plenty of long term fruitarians who live off fruit and greens are definitely not overweight. Natural sugar only causes issues if you have too much fat in your diet.

  26. He is actually wrong about the weight gain. The body does not create excess weight unless it also has waste it needs to store somewhere. This is because the body uses fat to store waste in, because waste tends to be acidic and fat protects against that. the lymphatic fluid is also based in fat. Normally the body would dump it’s waste into the lymphatic fluid which would then bring it to the right organs for cleaning it up, ultimately making you pee out the waste. But when you eat too unhealthy (i.e. as almost everyone does nowadays) then your lymphatic system will be clogged and unable to accept acid waste from your cells. This means that your body will get damaged unless it can create another place to store the waste. And thus it creates excess fat and stores the waste there, hoping to clean it up in the future (which normally never happens as most people never start eating healthily enough and in fact often die to this waste).

    Fat containing a lot of energy is merely a side-effect. Yes, when you have a shortage of energy your body will consume excess fat. It will also consume your muscles, does that mean that the primary use of muscles is for energy storage? No. Muscle are primarily for strength, but in times of need the body may decide that the energy in the muscles could be better spend elsewhere. Same kind of thing for excess fat. It’s role is to protect against waste, it is a waste dump. But in times of desperate energy shortages the body may decide that being damaged by the waste is less harmful then the lack of energy and thus may retire the fat and use it’s energy for sustenance. The fat reserves are thus not energy reserves, they are toxic waste dumps which happen to contain a lot of energy as a side-effect of fat containing energy.

    This means that there are 2 ways to lose weight: energy restriction and waste restriction.
    Energy restriction means that you create an unhealthy shortage of energy, forcing your body to not create fat for storing excess waste. this way you can eat waste without getting fat, though your health will suffer and in the long run it might kill you.
    Waste restriction means to keep the body clean by not eating more waste than it can clean out. This way you will never get fat no matter how much energy you consume because the body will simply refuse to use the energy to create excess fat as there is no need for excess fat when there is no waste to store. This is the healthy way to lose weight. This is the only way that people ought to use. When you use waste restriction you can eat as much fruit as you want and you will get a perfect weight, because fruit contains no waste. This is also the method which I personally use.

    So I have to disagree with his "sugar = sugar" logic on the grounds that that tautology is simply irrelevant. I challenge anyone who disagree with me to try out a fruitarian diet for a month and see if he can gain weight on it. It is impossible.

    Very misleading thing to say by a healthworker! You can eat a fair amount of fruits daily and still not get fat. It’s because of the dietary fibers in the fruit that "traps" all the fructose and glucose, which means your gastrointestinal tract will absorb those sugars gradually into the bloodstream, therefore keeping the glycemic index (GI) relatively stable and giving your cells a few hours to burn all that sugar that steadily influx into all the cells of the body. The opposite is true with liquid calories a.k.a. sodas that apsorb trough intestines very quickly and spikes the GI trough the roof, making the pancreas secrete more insulin that drives all that excess sugar into the cells and there turning it into fatty acids. It also leads to insuline resistance. Try eating fruits when you get a sweet tooth, and avoid all processed sugars (chocolate, sodas, mcdonalds etc.), you will feel a lot better, inflamation and stress will be reduced. Fruit also have a lot of biflavonoides, vitamins and minerals. It’s always better to get vitamins and minerals from A NATURAL SOURCE than from the tablets. This is coming from a pharmacist and biochemist. Fibers also slow down the apsorbtion of fats from your other meals, and lower overall cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL (low density lipoprotein a.k.a. "bad cholesterol").

  28. The riper the fruit the better. We are natural frugivores, we like ripe fruit because it is good for us. Of course, when the fruit is so overripe that it gets gross then it is too ripe and the gross taste is your body warning you.
    The video uses bananas as an example. Unripe bananas have a lot of starch, which is a complex sugar. Starch is difficult to digest for humans, because you need special enzymes to digest it and humans only have little of those enzymes. The undigested starch will attract fungus and is unhealthy to have in our body. that is why green bananas are gross to us.
    But yellow bananas with black spots have almost no starch, they are easy to digest. The starch is broken down into simple sugars such as fructose. This is easy to digest and very healthy, that is why we are naturally attracted to it. If you ever wondered why humans have colour vision, get naturally hungry from the colour yellow (hence why yellow is common in restaurant logos), can climb trees, have the rare dexterity required to peel bananas, and are naturally attracted to sweet food such as bananas; it is because it is our natural food. And the sweeter and tastier your banana is (assuming it is ripe and pure), the healthier it is. No need to eat gross starchy bananas, let them ripe until they are at their tastiest, which is when they are yellow with black dots.

If what you said was correct everyone in northern climates would starve 3/4 of the year with no vegetables and fruit growing in cold climates.     Obese fruitarian ? I have never seen one, never heard of one. I eat 70% fruit, 20% veg and the rest nuts and seeds, no grains , no meat, no fish, no processed food. Oh by the way, I am now 83 and still going strong and have eaten this way for over 60 years. Yes, I know what fructose is and I know what white table sugar is. I am convinced that the scaremongering about fruit consumption is not justified and I would be happy to be proven wrong.     Fruits are the perfect food for humans. There is no fruit thats bad. Just eat as much as u can, dont combine it with anything else. It will not spike ur sugar at all. I eat 3kg fruits everyday. My blood sugar stays below normal and I have left behind my prediabetic condition. So dont trust doctors if they say natural foods can be bad. They can never be, just enjoy the healing power of nature.
