Meeting you Dr. Agboya on YouTube is like knowing God himself because you do in my life what no doctor can’t do. Thanks for curing my herpes completely dr agboya, keep up the good work🙂
This video was useless to me. It’s the same old information over and over again . I never smoked , don’t drink , am a vegetarian, exercised all my life ( can’t anymore ) and still ended up getting Diverticulosis . I get a Diverticulitis infection every 4-6 weeks!
im 32 and was diganosed last year i ate very bad from the age of 22 because i moved out of parents house i just had takeaways and frozen pizza very rare i had vegtables or healthy foods no i wish i had the flare ups are really bad now i eat more fiber food like beans and bread more vegatables chicken and broths it helps a lot.
Doctor sir, my son is 9 year old and his weight is also very less and there is no point in drinking alcohol. Still he has this problem. What should I do?
I just got over a serious 3 week screaming in pain bout of diverticulitis. It was horrendous, hospital and terrible pain. Wouldn’t wish it on Nancy pelosi.. well maybe on her yes
I am very happy to read all these well thought out comments. It is really nice to know "others have suffered" as much as I have in 5hr emergency room visit, from all sorts of tests, pokes proddeds scans, etc and it came back with Diverticulitis.
Anyone else felt like death itself? it seems so.
I can see now, that severe dehydration, and largefiber intake with medicine taking for spine injury with minimal water intake, turned to Severe feaver and pulsing an pounding headache, unable to stop sweating, barfing (both ends, constantly) turns out.. was a stomach virus/ irritation>
in my 40’s and reading these.. maybe I feel pain more than other people but I swear it was the worst ever, and i’ve had tattoo’s broken bones surgeries etc..
Also, its hard to research stuff when you are sick or ill, there is so much similar out there…
I mean, I may or may not take medicine for pinworms after i run my course of antibiotics, just in case.. it seems this isn’t something that is given in America as often, or discussed, and several symptoms are similar… can’t hurt, right? I mean, barefoot a lot a lot. who knows?
I just wanna feel better i can hardly function this bloat, this pain over all and Liquid diet….
we will see in a few days i’ll try to check in….
Really glad i read all these comments.
I can put down water and medicine without it coming up, so far so good.
I got diverticulitis at 9 and this has made me feel more comfortable with diverticulitis because i woke up one morning and i felt the exact same thing in my lower abdomen this is good information
Whenever I have a flare up, like now – I ate a few cashews – I go for two days on broth or pho soup and it goes away, bit I need to listen to this doctor’s advice!! Thanks! 🙏🙏🙏
I’ve never had constipation. Never. Yet I’ve had diverticulitis three times in 6 months, having eaten massive amounts of fiber every day and boatloads of water these last 6 months (with almost no meat, and even less red meat). BMI 26. 6’1” 197 pounds, 34” waist. Never smoked. Sooo… 🤷🏽♂️ Did have a motorcycle accident 17 years ago that required lower abdominal surgery, and have had two hernia surgeries since then. Don’t exercise because of the hernias and bad joints, etc, from the accident. Used to take tylenol or aspirin or ibuprofen every night for joint pain. Haven’t taken it for a year or two though.
I can’t eat oats or wheat or rice or nuts, otherwise I get diverticulitis, I’m in pain from it as I write because I decided to eat muesli for a few weeks, I got bored with my bowl of red berries and yoghurt every morning, I’m going back on the berries.
Personally being on my toes, keeping busy, not eating after 18:00, more fluids less carbs, more chicken less beef, a little fibre toast. Less stress. Fasting 12-16 hours sleep time can be included in this fast
In 34 and have been diagnosed with ‘mild’ diverticulitis. I’m so depressed about it and my other half doesn’t seem to think it’s a big issue… fml I wanna be around for my kids.
Good information, and I appreciated the risk factors broken down in an easy to follow format. I was diagnosed in 2009 when my first attack landed me in the hospital. Diet is fundamental, but I noticed that stress kicks it up, and I loved eating red meat, which had not occurred to me to cut back. I “managed” my attacks with antibiotics over the years, and thought I was doing well at it, until a few months ago. The recurring attacks damaged a section of my colon beyond repair, and I was living with constant low grade inflammation. That section was surgically removed last week, and I’m glad to be able to have a fresh start. For any newly diagnosed people here- don’t fall into complacency about reducing risk just because effective antibiotics are available to treat. There will come a time when they won’t be enough.
I eat mostly grass fed red meat, avocado and fermented foods and don’t have any issues with mine! I was diagnosed at 23 and I’m now 40 trust me when I say it’s all diet!
In 2019 I had a colonoscopy because my bowel habits and discomfort on my left side, sometime come and go, some times I feel it all day or for few days, the doctor say I have "a little bit" of diverticulosis, he say I can eat anything, because anything could be the reason, as 2022 I still have same symptoms, I keep telling to my MD doctor that I may have a mild case of diverticulitis every now and them, he keep saying that I should have fever, pain, my pain goes (from 1 to 10) max to 3 sometimes, I know I will have my bowel habits upside/down because I feel the discomfort few days before, I thinking on seeing a Specialist, what you guys think, anyone in this situation? by test I don’t have any food allergies or bacterial infection. thank you for your time.
In your opinion are there any pre or pro biotics that help with good gut health? Also, was told by my gastro that antibiotics for diverticulitis attacks are no longer recommended that they do more harm than good in the long run. A person is to wait out an attack and normally pain will go away after three or four days, however if a fever is present and pain is still present then you call your doctor for help. What are your thoughts? Thanks
At 78 I have had bouts of diverticulitis for the last 50 years. I have a bmi of 25, just barely borderline over weight also have a lot of dizziness when standing which limits what exercise I can do. I have had 35 surgeries, 18 for adhesions and 3 for perforated intestines.
Just got out of hospital with complicated diverticulitis- i’m only 40 🙁 … just starting to eat some solids now but I am finding it hard stomaching things. To look at meat just makes me want to hurl…
In a flare as I’m typing this. I get them at least twice a year. If not too bad, I take Advil (I know..it says not too) but if really bad, I call doc to get antibiotics. Try to eat fiber but I also have IBS-d and so too much fiber give me horrible gas and diarrhea. I don’t eat hardly any red meat, don’t smoke and don’t drink. But seems when I eat nuts, that’s what sets my diverticulitis attacks off. Only had a couple small handfuls (and I mean small) of Cashews this week and now I’m in a flare. One time I had peanut M&Ms and a week later…. Yep a flare. Crazy how just a small amount can set my flares off.
God bless you now and always Dr Omole on Youtube, Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for helping me cure the herpes simplex virus I was facing, I thought it was the end not until I met you, I will be happy to recommend you to other people around the word…..

Thank you for this educational video. I learned a lot.
I got diverticulitis at 9 and this has made me feel more comfortable with diverticulitis because i woke up one morning and i felt the exact same thing in my lower abdomen this is good information
Thanks for sharing this information!
Went on keto and woke up two months later with extreme pain and lower abdominal diverticulitis. Everything I was doing with keto lead to my pain.
Whenever I have a flare up, like now – I ate a few cashews – I go for two days on broth or pho soup and it goes away, bit I need to listen to this doctor’s advice!! Thanks! 🙏🙏🙏
Red meat is not the problem. People on a carnivore diet do not have trouble with diverticulitis.

Show causation not your correlation that you favor.

This was very well presented I learned a lot I have all the systems of diverticulitis will be having a colonoscopy next week. Thanks for the info.
i got Diverticulitis few yrs ago nd i thought i was seriously going to die it was right up there with shingles pain
You are 100% wrong the theory on fibre is a hundred percent wrong people that are on a high-fat carnivore diet do not ever get
Agree except for red meat mythology.
In 34 and have been diagnosed with ‘mild’ diverticulitis. I’m so depressed about it and my other half doesn’t seem to think it’s a big issue… fml I wanna be around for my kids.

I’ve never changed my diet. My doctor said there’s literally no reason to & I’m completely fine. I have diverticulosis

Also fiber causes constipation. This is a lie.
Just got out of hospital with complicated diverticulitis- i’m only 40 🙁 … just starting to eat some solids now but I am finding it hard stomaching things. To look at meat just makes me want to hurl…
