There is not study that said its a great way to lose weight? I love when doctors give advice on muscle gain/weight loss, His advice is like listening to FLATearther, nonsense
If my caloric intake to lose a pound a week is 2600 calories & I split that up into six meals every 2 hours how would I not lose weight? I think he’s generalizing if you were to eat 6 meals that were big on calories.
I was told the best advice. You eat to live not live to eat. It’s on what level of activity you do each day and how long you can go without eating before feeling hungry again. Also the amount of food you put into your body. A lot of different things you have to look into your own individual body.
That’s not how it works. You don’t just simply eat 6 times a day and loose weight, you could eat 6 huge meals a day and get fat as shit, you have to be in a calorie deficit and spread those calories over more frequent meals, the trick is to eat often to keep your metabolism ticking but at the same time you have to be eating less calories then you need to maintain your weight (calorie deficit). If you go from eating 3 normal meals a day to 6 normal meals a day your going to get fat, eat 6 smaller meals to keep your metabolism running around the clock. When your metabolism slows down you burn less calories
There’s nothing wrong if a person eats more meals per day (more controlled).
What about sleepiness? I read many scientific articles that shows the sleepiness of people after eating: high caloric meals, high glycemic index, or just high carbohydrates meals. And even about them near the bed time, the relationship to "sleep efficiency" Just check them out, I think you can find them using google scholar.
Since I do some practices I cannot afford to be sleepy. I cook or let her cook hehe, for dinner, I eat just a little and the other part I save for later. After the practice I eat that
it makes sense to me, because im not hungry. if i eat three times a day iam so hungry that i overeat. so i do eat more calories when i eat three times a day.
I work 12 hours a day… I have time for breakfast…lunch n dinner… Sometimes only for lunch n dinner… As a working professional, I simply do not have that much time to cook 6 meals and then eat 4 of them at work…
All these diets and people try to find the right one , there’s isn’t one , in full honestly I’ve been through three different diets and they all work the same because there’s a calorie deficit, the only problem was I would feel tired and lethargic, you gotta understand your body , do what works for you , the only goal with a diet is to try to lose weight without hurting yourself and there’s different ones for different people , my body burns anything I eat in an hour , but that’s usually meals , the problem is with fasting for me , is that my body tries to hold on to as much as it can , so once I take a sip of what or a snack all my weight shoots back up , the six meals a day is stupid if you don’t plan it , it’s a really hard because there’s a lot of room for error , but because I’m a student athlete I need that energy to lift 400 pounds without passing out , which I have before on other diets
What if you are like the rock and workout so much that the slightest price of food you put in your body is absolutely incinerated by their metabolism/exercise
Fung doesn’t seem to understand that your total insulin per day is equal for same amount of calories, no matter the meal frequency. Obesity skyrocketed because total calories went up, not because the meal frequency went up, is Fung trying to sell books with this rubbish or is he actually this clueless?
Then what is the good way EAT 3 Times Larger meals than 6 times smaller meals? Ideot

Are we taking into account level of activity?? Because I eat 6+ but I’m active 16+ hours
It does work… it is the absolute only thing that has ever helped me lose weight. I lost 40 lbs in a month.
M a professional athlete I eat 7 meals a day ..
I lost weight with eating 6 small meals a day. I don’t get it why he is saying it doesn’t work.

Eating 6 times a day definitely works. Do you even lift bro?

6 meals a day is not natural — humans were evolved to be hunter gatherers

I think this only works if you count your calories. Lets say your max calories are 2000
You can eat 6 meals a day – It just cant be over 2000 calories.
Im not real sure tho – so take this with a grain of salt.
I lost 125 pounds eating 6 times a day
"I think". Nope.
I lost weight eating 5 times per day.
Different things work for different people. Good for you that 6 meals work. IF works best for me and others.

Hunter gatherers definitely did not had time to eat 6 times a day

Dr Fung is amazing. Love learning from him.
6 meals day are for bodybuilders on drugs being they need that food for the drugs their taking.. and it’s not realistic to do your whole life?
I see his point, his not counting for people who are eating 6 healthy meals
Eating 6 times doesnt mean you eat whatever you like. You’re still watching your calorie and carb intake. It does work!!
I lost 120lbs eating 6 times a day (3 meals, 3 snacks). I’m gaining weight IF.. I go all day and don’t eat and then I binge when I can finally eat.
Yes y’all I love the comments, I’m definitely do this now. Y’all wish me luck for motivation!!!
