    Exercise should not be done for loosing weight, rather Cardio exercises should be done to enhance the efficiency of heart, lungs and cardiovascular tissues. Many elite Athletes has a very low resting Heart rate, which helps their heart to work much more less than normal people heart does

    This video is just made up for people to have an excuse to skip the gym. This video is about weight loss and not once was a the key term "calorie deficit" used.
    What does calorie deficit mean I hear you ask…
    Basically it is the mechanism that your body uses to lose weight. Go online and calculate your daily calorie baseline that you need to hold your weight. If you eat less calories per day than the calculated value you are going to lose weight.
    In the video resting metabolism was mentioned in the context that some people have a stronger/more effective/more calorie burning one, which is true but you can boost your resting metabolism by exercising regularly (4-5 times a week is a good amount). After a few weeks you will build some muscle which helps your resting metabolism because the muscle mass has to be "fed"
    By incorporating those and other key factors in your life you will be able to lose long-term weight and by extension live a healthier life.

    As always do your own research and don’t listen to half researched videos that focus on one study or even at folks who comment such videos.

    All I know is when I went on my 8th grade DC trip for 3 days and 4 nights, I was so homesick and was insecure at the time abt eating in front of other people, so I tended not to get hungry because I was homesick and didn’t get an appetite until late at night and I usually just had a snack. But everyday and almost every morning we would go to where we were assigned to go each day, I would walk an average of 2+ miles everyday. Drank water, barely ate/used my free meal coupons, and by the time I got home and back to normal life in school, my body had gotten so used to that, that I didn’t become hungry until late at night, and I lost 5+ pounds within 4 days 😭

    It’s such a damaging myth really that fitness leads to weight loss. Dieting, your calorie intake, your eating habits are entirely key. Fitness is a method of burning calories, you CAN lose weight from it but if you’re diet is bad and you’re eating back the burned calories, you won’t lose weight.
    I used to be an athlete in HS and college. After college over the years I gained about 100 lbs total. For the past 5 years I tried to lose the weight back. Weight loss only started happening when I started fasting, changing my diet. I shed 60 lbs in a year doing that. I lost more this year alone from fasting than I have the past two years combined when I was just trying to workout to lose it.

    I’m 5’10 1/4 and I just turned 15, but I’m probably like 290 at this point due to severe amounts of bullying, depression, childhood trauma, and anger issues. I tried losing weight before and it actually worked out pretty well but I end up gaining it all back either due to a mental breakdown or someone making a single comment about my weight. At this rate I have no idea what to do and I’m worried that I’m going to have a horrible life.

  20. I don’t know if I’m tripping or not but they just said you can work off things you eat. I mean I get all the other stuff but all that tells me is that you can still be strategic about it all and maximize results.

    You can also play dancing arcade games to lose weight. Pump It Up is the perfect example for you trying to lose weight and also having fun. I lose some weights by playing that, have a nice day ☺

    When you eat, how much you eat, and when you stop eating makes the difference. Self-discipline is key. Intermittent fasting, for me the 20:4 method makes losing weight a breeze. Lost 18.5 pounds in 2.5 months. Happy, healthier & more determined to keep going. The first 2 weeks are hard but you get through it. We’re humans, we adapt. Best of luck to anyone trying to lose weight!

    Lets face it, its the look we’re going for more than the health aspect. Well exercise tightens and shapes your skin whether you got some chunk or not. Skinny people can still have flab. Thick people can still look good. Work out people!

    Useful information. Diet control- 3 meals a day where possible, low sugar, low carbohydrate, avoiding highly processed foods where possible, going for berries etc, not eating before bed… for weight loss. Exercise to feel good and to be fitter.

    People definitely excuse poor eating habits after a tough workout because they ‘deserve it’. As somebody who doesn’t like to gym I started focusing more on what I eat and my diet in general. Funnily enough I lost more weight than I did when I was exercising several times a week 🤷🏽‍♀️

    If I don’t workout, I get tired and when I am tired I eat more. When I am healthy and active, I am not as tired and so I crave sugar less. This video really narrow understanding of things.

  38. Here’s the deal: if you eat at maintenance calories, exercise can help you achieve caloric deficit. However, if you’re at a surplus you need more exercise to achieve caloric deficit. But there’s only so much exercise you can do. So help your body achieve deficit by limiting the calories that you consume.

    in fact , doing exercises which make me feel tired.. make me want to eat healthy and less food than what I am eating regularly.. because bruh I didn’t sweat for losing all what I did in one piece of pizza!!
