    There has been proof of affirmations working even without belief. The subconscious doesn’t even have a sense of humor so whatever u say or think more than enough, you’re gonna start to believe it. Yes it’s literally been proven to work, people just give up and don’t wanna put the work in. It doesn’t just take overnight for ur brain to wire into a positive mindset. It’s takes a max amount of 21 days to deep into the subconscious

    Sorry but placebos are not true and they work as we all know, affirmations work but u have to believe they work same as a placebo surgery, witch is a true thing, faith is your missing ingredient if your affirmation aren’t working.

    i am 25yrs old i am listing to the affermations for 2 months even visualize each and every affermations now i am wasting more time then before…lost my focus,concentration not doing any kind of productive things, not having any kind of job… and depends on my parents….

  8. I think the title can make some people defensive and keep them from getting the powerful message you’re actually sharing here. I was almost one of them. But I’m pretty open minded so I watched. I once read somewhere that we should state “positive truths” to ourselves rather positive affirmations. There’s always some actual positive things going on in our lives if we just pay attention to them. We don’t have to make it up.

    You can brainwash yourself into thinking many things …
    But doing stuff , being creative helping people , is so much more better for your soul than blowing made up smoke up your butts …

    A very important thing to keep in mind is that "Positive Affirmations Are a Waste of Your Time" is an affirmation… So, the key is: Do you believe what are you saying? The key is belief. If you don’t believe what you are saying, then yes, it is a waste of your time. How do you know you believe what you are saying? Check how do you feel when you are saying it.

    That’s because in order for positive affirmations to work you must visualize and feel the feeling of what it’s like to be the person you are striving to be and then take the action to achieve that particular goal. If you are just repeating something and not visualizing or taking any action to become the person you want to be then of course just repeating something over and over won’t help you achieve it! Positive affirmations are more than just repeating something there is visualization and taking action that is behind the whole process. It must be done everyday just like brushing your teeth. You can’t skip days otherwise positive affirmations won’t work!

  20. I used to think like this, but unfortunately negative thoughts gave me generalized anxiety disorder. If negative thoughts can make us sick, positive ones can heal us too😃

    You are talking about what works for you and it doesn’t mean that it will work for others. I have started listening to affirmations every morning when I’m in my theta state. I have less negative thoughts and I feel more positive. I will never stop. Maybe they are not working for you because you don’t believe them.

    With all do respect, good for you and your credentials but saying positive affirmations DON’T work is exactly why they don’t work for YOU 🤷🏽‍♀️ But saying they don’t work for everyone is a bit much.     Title is a little bit harsh. I guess to determine if anything is a waste of time you’d have to imagine what are you doing it instead of? If your doing affirmations instead of working and practicing yea maybe but if you’re using it to replace negative chatters of your brain I can’t imagine it would be such a waste.

    Could you also make a video about gratitude (I’m grateful for…) and loving kindness ( I wish smb. to be free of suffering and reasons of suff.) affirmations, mental contrasting with implementing intentions (I strive for, I remember this is my obtacle and when X , I wil do Y) very useful. It seems to me that there are research supporting them.

    I have ten sentences I repeat most if not all mornings ten times each. But these have to be honest, based on past performance, as the video above suggests. They include things like "Put yourself first," "People love you," and "You can do it," but I imagine contexts in my mind that prove these to be the case. I might visualize people or actions in my past or present that support these statements as true. The phrases are my own devising, come from within me, and I have total freedom to change the iffy ones as need be. One of them is something very positive my father used to say: "Make a game out of it." The first one is "Good morning." If you search for "happy classical music" on YouTube (the one with the puppy in the thumbnail) and give yourself 7 to 10 minutes on these. If that is all you do for your mental health, then it won’t be enough. Get sunlight, get exercise, take your vitamin D and other supplements for your issues, do some journaling, get help — whatever it takes. But you have to be in the driver’s seat and make informed decisions about your mental health and how to get through those rougher times.

  44. they do work for me. Not in the beginning, but you have to keep saying them and belief it will work and after some time there is a click and your brain does accept it. You can see it as practising a spell, when you keep practising the magic starts working.

There are many scientifically proven results and sooo many amazing stories about great people who have changed their lives 180 degrees just by using affirmations like the great Muhammad Ali who talked about how the repetition of affirmations is what led him to be the greatest ever and made him believe he’s great and look what he did. Read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill who spent more than 20 years interviewing and researching the most successful people to ever set foot on earth like Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison , Henry Ford and many many more and they all said that affirmations is one of the best tools for success. Please with all due respect, what your saying is false and toxic for people who aren’t well educated about the subject. Stop trying to be different to get people’s attention in order to sell them your false information or to get more subscribers. Please be more responsible with what your saying because you may prevent someone from changing his/her life just by listening to what your saying and because they are not well educated about the subject. Do your research well and educate your self on how to use affirmations and you’ll see great results just like i did. And btw thats the first time i ever used the dislike button on YouTube. Thank you
